Brother I meant she looks like she has “ resting B face” but you can’t type that out here hence the quotations. I would’ve said the same thing if I saw my moms, Rihanna, Anna Kendrick, Ben Afflecks Jeremy Renner, Jason Batemans face.

I have seen firsthand how colleges and universities crying poverty can always open up the checkbook for an administrator (always someone's buddy) even if they have to create a brand new position and "role" to accommodate them. Lyke appears to be an "excellent" example.

My first secondhand experience with this wasn't even salary. Probably 20 years ago at another small local private school, two SVPs (one of whom was a local business person who had been downsized from their previous exec position and benefited from the buddy hire) ran up a $600 bar tab at a local restaurant. And because they were talking about work, they routed it through expenses. At the time, I was working as a consultant (unrelated to the school) and had to pay the taxes on my hotel stays when I traveled because they were greater than the allowed GSA per diem and alcohol wasn't even allowed to be expensed. It cost me money to travel. Definitely different rules for different people.

There is a lot of fat to be trimmed at places with subsidized revenue like schools and hospitals. But I bristle when people say things should be run like a business because a lot of times that only means take the axe to the core functions to
extract as much profit as possible to be hoovered up by admin bloat and paradigm shifting "initiatives".

A friend of mine was in an admin position at one of the schools at SU and was privy to some salaries. It was eye opening at how cavalier some people were with money for their staff, quite a few "do little, paid a lot" jobs.

Final two final interviews with Haynie Thursday/ Friday? A decision by Monday? Just spitballing based on insiders saying we should know by Monday.

Have our insiders heard anything about the other two candidates or without names how they compare to the known ones?

No.

Syracuse strung Under Armour along in 2024. SU wanted $400k more a year than what Auburn was getting and admitted that Fran Brown really didn’t want to go to Under Armour. (He wanted Jordan, but that didn’t work out.)

That’s one of two reasons, but the most recent one that matters.
