This makes sense - you aren’t going to find a GM that can help a ton in 3 weeks more than existing staff can. Brunt already having overseas insight kind of covers that aspect along with Daly and Lee both being well connected…

Yeah, I listened to this yesterday. Donna didn’t think a GM would be announced anytime soon. She heard that they were talking to a few people, but nothing was imminent.

It’s not critical for this offseason. The staff’s only real objective at the moment is scouting/recruiting and doing what a GM would do. They all have connections and Alex Kline worked during last season to make a list of players who the program should target for this offseason, which I’m sure that intel still lives within the melo facilities

Anyone brought up Andy Rautins name? He is currently the assistant GM for the Ottawa Blackjacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Has been since 2020. Brings a Canadian pipeline and has lots of international playing experience.
Haven’t heard his name but thought he should be in consideration.

I hope SU shoots for the stars on GM. Some impressive name in NBA, ESPN, Nike, etc. It's important.

If this board was their only resource the roster would be filled with Siena transfers, former NY/NJ high school players, transfers from any other NY college, anyone SU recruited in the past and generally anyone whoever passed through on 90 or 81.

Has he even returned to campus since graduation? I know his dad has, but Andy appears to be extremely private and I don’t recall him being on campus ever.
