horses. Seems like even the folks who are very critical of the coaching staff for the troubles on offense last season realize that the offense this season is very likely to be improved!
Of course, how much improved will end up being the question, and time will tell. I think Lester is a bright, young coach, and I think he handled a very difficult situation last season with patience, faith and wisdom. He knew he was going to take some heat, but he stuck to his plan anyway without making excuses.
I'm also impressed with the student-athletes because they never made any excuses either, which is admirable. This reflects on their character, and also on how much they like and enjoy playing for this coaching staff. The defense last season battled to the very end understanding full well the problems on offense, and those kids on defense never complained, pointed fingers or stopped competing. And they did a remarkable job.
If this team has the same kind of focus and brotherhood, I like their chances of making a bowl game. Go Cuse!!
