I didn't mean failed. It just sounds like he didn't have a handle what she was doing (maybe his hands were tied)

Oh gotcha, specific to the Lyke situation. Yeah, seems like she might’ve seen the opportunity ahead of her and overplayed her cards.

I mean how do you answer the question as the new Chancellor at the new AD presser when asked why someone who failed at Pitt, has active lawsuits still pending and HR complaints in her time here was chosen over the rest and how can you assure that she won’t fail again? I mean the very fact that is a necessary question to be asked and prepared for should immediately DQ that selection.

Which is why I am not sweating this as much anymore. The very last thing Haynie wants is having to defend a highly unpopular decision almost from day 1 in his new position. It should not even be a difficult decision and based on what AZ said last night, the committee must have thought the same.

Who is making these hires? Why didn’t JW resign if his hands are this tied to hire such a terrible administrator?

Syracuse is a three ring circus

What I've encountered is remarkable arrogance among people in big positions there.
People who "already know it all" aren't going to be the best decision makers.
