SU opens -21.5 over providence...

easy cover, as long as the walk-ons don't blow it;)

HA!!! Lay the points! Vegas begging for money on Provi with that line and expecting us to cover. 21.5 is a ton to give to anyone much less a conference opponent that just housed L'ville. What does Vegas know that we don't?

SU may be that good but I don't think Providence is that bad. Wow!

-21 1/2??? Even at the dome that's a tad high ... guessing it has to go down

-2 UConn at ND ...??

Isn't one of their better players hurt or something?

Why do people think it’s that high? We beat them by 14(?) last week in their building, with them shooting way over their heads, with Fab in foul trouble, and Baye not available. Coleman is also out for them and he scored 17 points the last time. I’m not saying we cover, but it seems like a fair representation.

The list of teams we've beaten by at least that margin this year are Seton Hall, George Washington, Eastern Michigan, Colgate, Albany, Manhatten, and Fordham. We didnt even cover that spread vs Tulane, Bucknell, Marshall or Va Tech.

We beat Providence by 14 this year at their place and only by 7 in the Dome last year. Last time we beat them by that much was Feb 26, 2005 when Hak went for 36 points against Ryan Gomes and JB got his 700th win. That's why the lines looks high to me.

Until I saw that line I didn't have us winning by 22+ but now I have no doubt. We'll go up by 30+ before playing the walk-ons and their backups and winning by 24.

These are like "i dare you" spreads... its quite amazing. I've never seen so many 20+ spreads in my life. Amazingly, we've been covering them. I won't touch spreads like that. No way. Give me small spreads any day of the week and I'll bank on free throw padding.

21.5 is (pardon the expression) a lot of wood to chop, especially with the way we have been letting up on the gas pedal in the 2nd halves this year. Maybe this is the complete game we have all been waiting for!

Guard Gerard Coleman is listed as probable. Thats the equivalent of Brandon Reese being probable. No offense Gerard

Not really, he is 4th in minutes and is used in 25% of the possessions when he is on the floor.

This game worries me. They played us tough in Prov (I was there), and they just crushed Lville by 31. They have confidence. Do I think we'll win? Yes. But I think it will be a close, hard-fought game.

People seem to forget that we shot 79% from the floor in the second half and 10- for 17 from the three. I doubt we do that again either. The one big plus is that we have Keita for this game.

Took Marquette with all them points last week...will do so again with the Friars...

I think we can do it just got to shut down the free throw line. Providence got alot of their points from the free throw line last game.
