I can hear the excuses for losing already...we absolutely need to win 1 of the 3 in the actual event. St Joseph's doesn't move the needle. If we go 0-3, stick a fork in us. Bringing back Autry and the improved roster almost mandates that we have to win one...anything else would be a disaster

Hotel booked for Monday and Tuesday games. Park MGM. I think most teams will be staying there also. I'll fly home on Wednesday with all the Thanksgiving travelers. Hotel reasonable. Flights will most likely not be. Hopefully can use miles.

Stole my post. I would be making this team watch the replay of the Natty run, which ran through Sampson when he was at Oklahoma and Kansas. Sampson was the opposing coach that put that cheap shot on Carmelo and tried to knock him out of the game when he was shredding them.

If we're going to say this is the real reboot we need every edge we can get. We need to become the physical team that we have not been for years.

Minimal downside, major upside. If we can steal one against either Houston or Kansas it would give us an OOC signature win that I don’t think we’ve had since I was on campus and we won the Bahamas tournament. Should hopefully have us ready for our SEC-ACC matchup with Tennessee.

(Can’t wait until we get back to the point where this isn’t the thought anytime we match up with teams like this in OOC.)

Even if we got by Houston and Kansas, just having UH as an opponent likely dooms SU from advancing to the championship due to the tiebreakers involving point differential and total points. In terms of impacting the chances of reaching the title game, UH is probably the absolute worst possible draw.
