Or will there be 9 ACC games and these are the only non-conference games?at PSU

Agreed plus they usually travel better than 75% of the ACC teams and UConnIf we are going to play an FCS I am all for playing teams we have a history with and/or Northeastern privates. Which pretty much means the Patriot League.
Yup...no one the ACC is going to schedule 4 OOC games in the out years until 8 vs 9 conference games...is figured out.Or will there be 9 ACC games and these are the only non-conference games?

According to the highest of sources it’s already figured out. 9 ACC games for us starting next year. We will drop either Toledo or at UConn depending on whether the additional conference games is home or away. Only decision for the conference now is whether to just slot in the extra game or revamp the entire conference schedule including the Notre Dame games.Yup...no one the ACC is going to schedule 4 OOC games in the out years until 8 vs 9 conference games...is figured out.
With 9 conference games plus at least 1 more P4 and a G5 I don’t have an issue with an FCS game either as an opener to serve as a glorified preseason game or, as some SEC schools do, a November game to serve as a semi-bye before wrapping up the conference slate. Think most coaches feel the same way or there would be more of a push to discontinue playing FCS teams at all.Playing Fordham seems stupid. I don't see how that enhances the reputation of the Syracuse football program.

So then…Maine? Rhode Island? Colgate? Take your pick.Playing Fordham seems stupid. I don't see how that enhances the reputation of the Syracuse football program.
I think any of them would better. I just don't get Fordham being of the caliber. Not meaning any disrespect to Fordham. So then…Maine? Rhode Island? Colgate? Take your pick.
FCS = FCS = FCS = FCSI think any of them would better. I just don't get Fordham being of the caliber. Not meaning any disrespect to Fordham.
I know. I know. I know. I know. I'm just reacting to my view of the optics. They may not even put the game on ACCNX.FCS = FCS = FCS = FCS
Yes they will.I know. I know. I know. I know. I'm just reacting to my view of the optics. They may not even put the game on ACCNX.
You may be interested to know that in the last two years Fordham has victories over Holy Cross, Colgate and FBS Buffalo.I know. I know. I know. I know. I'm just reacting to my view of the optics. They may not even put the game on ACCNX.
What optics? Every SEC team plays a garbage FCS team and beats them by a bajillion. No one cares. It’s what every P4 team does.I know. I know. I know. I know. I'm just reacting to my view of the optics. They may not even put the game on ACCNX.
Who is nobody? Ask SEC fans and sports journalists covering the SEC what they think about the value of bowl eligibility when the 7-5 team is in the ACC and plays an OOC slate of Fordham, UConn, and Kent St.You what enhances your reputation?
Winning games.
Getting bowl eligible.
Winning bowl games.
At the end of the season, nobody gives a crap who you played, everybody cares if you were bowl eligible.
That is because the SEC is the SEC - its conference games are massive. What optics? Every SEC team plays a garbage FCS team and beats them by a bajillion. No one cares. It’s what every P4 team does.
I prefer scheduling Fordham over putting Notre Dame and Tennessee on the schedule in this same year. That’s not where we are as a program, in many ways we need these type of games. What optics?
