I would let Duke’s bigs shoot from the arc all game and concentrate on rebounding.

I didn’t realize we’re 40% from the FT and that Duke has twice as many attempts as us. That is a problem.

5 fouls in 18 minutes for Uche - she has to stay out of foul trouble and we need to improve our 3 point shooting to be successful. We can’t be 2-12 from the 3, it makes it necessary to win inside the arc which without Uche as a factor kills us. Our free throw shooting and passing is deteriorating too. 8 assists with 19 turnovers - no chance to win being that sloppy. Sad outing.

Couple of the fouls were ghost fouls. Thought the officiating really impacted the game.
Feel the players should not have gotten 5 days off before playing Duke. Think it impacted their play.
Also they need to play better in the half court. When Sophie is off we need some others shooters to step up. Needed better ball movement.

one step forward, this was two steps back today. We were only in that game for the 1st qtr, the tide shifted after the 1st technical. I'm not a basketball genius but I did play sports and once the coach loses the team discipline, it's over. May not be today but it will be tomorrow.

It’s college Christmas break time so all the teams were off, actually Duke’s women hadn’t played in 8 days and SU men haven’t played for 6 days.Agree about the ball movement,

Yep, which is why I couldn’t understand us chasing their bigs out near the arc when we were clearly struggling on the boards.
Duke killed us on the pick and rolls because we never stayed on the roll player. Late in the game, Fournier set a high screen and just rolled to the basket by herself, caught the pass, easy layup. It happened over and over again.
