Basketball teams can be turned around quickly with 1or 2 special players, Louisville is a good example. The coaches certainly matter but Jimmys and Joes moreso. Nobody would have won with that roster last year and the injuries. However, it’s on the coach /staff to ID players for system and recruit, train and motivate them. In today’s world to have 3 back to back poor seasons for a blue blood program won’t work for the boosters, fans and revenue. Red needs to win big.

Yea just gotta win. There's how many rookie, 2nd year and 3rd year ACC coaches in the league now? Autry is a 3rd year coach, he needs to be at the top of the ACC coaches.

I think the media would rank him near the bottom of the league and even our diehard fanbase would prob not say he was above the middle of the league coaching wise.

Duke with an NIL spend of 10X us and Louisville way up there too I can understand there will be a talent gap that may be tough to overcome every year but as far as the rest of the league goes there's no excuse.

He's just got to change the narrative this year and win.

He’s got two years to study and ample unofficial resources to tap into to find a way to be a better coach. With this years talent, there is no excuse. If he can’t get it done and show that improvement in the win column and soundly making the tourney then any additional years under his leadership are highly unlikely to be any better.

I think we will see a different Red this year. He has some answers in his starters and on the bench. He didn’t have it last year. Finally having a point guard changes everything. We potentially have three all ACC players. I can’t wait until the season gets here.

Adam Sandler had a show downtown and wanted to play hoops prior. Melo Center was the venue.
