Super Bowls in doubt late in the game: (year is the season they were championship of): 1970, 1975, 1978, 1979, (31-19 due to two late scores- much like this one), not 1981, (Bengals scored on last play to make 26-14 into 26-21), 1988, 1990, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, (31-17 but late score, pick and and the Colts almost scored after that), 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019. I've often wondered why truly competitive games were so rare in the old days and are so common now.

For reference in both games his teams were up by a combined 48-9 going into the 4th quarter. And obviously the opposing QBs his teams faced were Brady and Mahomes, I don't think it's unexpected that his teams would end up being outscored in the 4th quarter. But to not be able to score a touchdown in the 4th is a fault on him. If both of his teams could score one touchdown in the 4th quarter, they most likely win the games and he's got two rings

I really wish the Patriots could trade their 2019 season to the Lions fanbase. NE went 12-4 lost in the WC and the local NE media are miserable and ruin the season for fans. Detroit fans would be so happy with this season and it wouldn't be miserable.

Lions problem IMO is ownership is just brutal.
