Little bit of both! Defense has a lot of youth that should get better as year goes on.

I’ve seen the offense in practice and I’m confident in our ability to score.

Tenn got a ton of love for the D last year. Even then the 4 teams that had decent offenses moved the ball on them pretty well.

They also played 6 games vs teams who didn't have much offense.

We will find out Sat which side of the equation we stand on.

This isn't new, but in case you're not aware, Vols top CB tore his ACL in January. Returned to practice, but as of a few weeks ago, was not running full speed. No word yet if he's playing on Saturday.

I'm 75 and remember that game back whenever when Syracuse was leading Tennessee 32 to 30 and stopped them on fourth down... then a late flag for a very BS "pass interference"penalty gave them a first down, leading to a game winning field goal. Still stings because Tennessee went on to win the Nat. championship.

That was the infamous no knee pads (equipment violation) game. I believe that penalty was called twice. I tell people about that now and they don't believe me.

I am pretty certain of one thing. Coach Brown and Staff have created a pretty big chip on the shoulders of the players. Probably more than once an hour he has reminded them that Syracuse or the "Block S" is the other Orange team playing in this game. You know the one that nobody is picking to stay close let alone win. I think coach Brown and Staff have ingrained in these players that no moment is too big and to take each day and make it your day, win today, when tomorrow comes win that and then Friday and on Saturday lets win today too. I tried listening to a few Vols podcasts today. These guys and the fans are delusional. Some saying Tennessee going to win by 50. Do they not realize they return less on offense than we do. Yeah, their D will look good, but I still think Nixon is going to find a way to move the ball. I’m taking the under and SU to win by 3. I think Joey A throws a pick when trying to press late which seals the game for SU.
