Happy Festivus!

Faith and family is the easiest way to push bulk ticket deals.

I for one see no issue with it. It's not an advertisement of faith but rather an attempt to be inclusive of a different group of fans. And if advertising of faith makes you uncomfortable than you probably wouldn't like the fact that one of the coaches holds FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) in his home.

Not similar in any way. A more apt comparison would be holding Republicans or Democrats day. I also don't believe I used the word uncomfortable, said it's odd.

They can bring back the halftime sack race - Jesus vs Buddha vs Mohammed vs Tom cruise
I don’t see uncle sam leading the pledge of allegiance at halftime of the military game. Its really just embracing a demographic of the community, which is typically family oriented, who’d otherwise never go to a game.

Exactly - nobody is going to have to do anything they don't want to do. Others teams and schools have them. If anyone feels uncomfortable, buy me a plane ticket and a ticket to the game and I'd be happy to come up and hold your hand.

But now we have two family days.

Aside from the obvious redundancy problen, does it suggest families attending the other are faithless?

Why can’t we go back to Parents Weekend for that one?

Maybe the Orangemen will show up.

Because Parents Weekend isn't PC anymore.

OK, so it’s BC. Maybe it should have been the Holy Cross game? I don’t think BC will have a ticket sales concern comparatively

This is both humorous but in all seriousness an excellent point.

Agreed we need a Millennial Appreciation Day

Free Tickets if they chose to come but even if they don't come, we'll still thank them because they are all special and deserve our adulation.

I could swear that Georgetown did this for a basketball game two or three years ago. Seriously. There were a whole bunch of phone-centric activities and free crap for all the young folks.

I'm sure all 2,600 of them appreciated it.

Actually, your sentiment is a 100% spot on analysis of why America is effectively dead.

In a country with “separation of church and state”, that you equate religion as completely equivalent to politics is horrifying...and the fact many people completely share your view is why America can’t possibly survive as a country much longer.

Turn out the lights - the party’s over.

84% of people on Earth belong to the first group, 100%, at one moment, belong to the latter. Spans all kinds of cultural and political beliefs. It has nothing to do with the comparison you are drawing. There are many in that group that share your political concerns. Which again, is fine. It's simply about being inclusive to large groups for ticket sales, which doesn't seem odd, at all.

The day is also about 4 groups, so it's not as exclusive as some may think. Faith, Family, Band, and Youth Football day. There are folks offended by youth football, as well. They're even trying to ban it, in Massachusetts.

I may think that Dance and Cheer day may objectify, and push a stereotype. But if the kids like it? Good for them.

Lol. The separation of those 2 things has and always will be impossible. How much is much longer? I'll take the over.

But only about 60% of Americans belong in the 1st group with that number dropping yearly and somewhere between 45-55% belong in either of the others at a given time so the numbers aren't that far apart. I honestly don't like being on one side of this as I really could care less what they do if they manage to get an extra 2500 butts in the 300 level due to group sales.

Bottom line is it clearly sold some tickets last year or they wouldn’t do it again. Not my favorite thing in the world but there are so many worse things. I’ll focus on beating the Jesuits that day and that’s all
