It is in the Finger Lakes region and Otisco Lake is indeed a Finger Lake in Onondaga County.

I have to say, that new Courtyard Marriott in Armory Square is a major improvement. Stayed there on Duke weekend.

Had a great time Friday night hitting up Dino for food, then a tour of Blue Tusk, Empire, somewhere I can't remember, closing at Kitty Hoynes, then stumble across the street to the hotel. Saturday, post game Sheraton, then downtown again for a few more stops, lathering rinse repeating on the Kitty Hoynes closeout stumble back to hotel.

There are worse towns to visit to reunite with friends, eat and drink your face off, and go to a college football game.
