So ... how about spending some time evaluating your #3 ranked Syracuse Orange?

Last year Moqui (BlazeOrange assisted) started a power poll of our favorite players to see where we all perceived them to be. It turned into a favorite thread every week.

So, I wanted to see what everybody thought about doing an online survey style poll. This will tabulate everybody's choices and score our players accordingly. It will also give you instant gratification on the current results which is nice. Maybe if this works out we can get the admins to figure out how to embed the poll into the thread, but for now it's a link that just brings you to the survey website. This is my first time attempting something like this, so I am sure there will be some adjustments made if this works out. Please let me know of any ideas or comments.

With all that said, I think this is the most interesting year to "rank" our players. When I attempted this myself, I wasn't surprised with my top votes as much as I was amazed at the players at the bottom of this stacked list.

I encourage all to post their results to the forum. I think it gives good discussion and lets you stand behind your picks. It also helps keep the thread "bumped" up to the first page.

So what are you all waiting for?

Tip: If you want to change a vote you can. Just go back and take the survey again and change your responses accordingly. This will also bring you back to the results screen. So if you want to view the updated results, you can just resubmit your entries to view. Or you can keep the page open and refresh as needed. Resubmitting your entry will only edit/confirm your vote and not duplicate it. There is only one vote per person allowed.

Below are the week 2 results. If anyone can figure out how to post a chart in the forum it would be much appreciated!

Rank - Player - Avg Rating - Most Voted

1 Dion Waiters 2.48 1
2 James Southerland 2.59 2
3 Kris Joseph 3.43 3
4 C.J. Fair 4.46 4
5 Fab Melo 6.2 6
6 Baye Moussa Keita 6.22 8
7 Scoop Jardine 7 6
8 Brandon Triche 7.02 7
9 Michael Carter-Williams 7.76 10
10 Rakeem Christmas 7.85 9

Whoever did entry #6 picked backwards, unless you really wanted to vote MCW#1 and KJ#10.

Please change your picks, you can go back and edit.

I can edit also ... and probably will if no one claims that ballot.

PS - Another good reason why I encourage you all to post your picks.

Week two carries thru which games...Triche #8 ...not really a good vote

Week two carries thru which games...Triche #8 ...not really a good vote

Posted the day after Colgate. Triche wasn't playing well. Triche and Scoop were essentially tied. Scoops avg. was 7.0 and Triche was 7.02.

To the far right is the score that most people voted them. Scoop actually was voted 6 by the majority of you folks and Triche was voted 7 by the majority as well. However, they each fell a spot as they seemed to both get a lot of low votes as well. Say what you want about either of them, but IMO, neither should ever be getting voted last (and they are).

That most people voted is a nice option that I never would have considered. When you cast your voted, you will see that comes up in bold lettering. It's usually right on par with the average numbers, but is probably more accurate as it doesn't penalize a player for being on someone's "hate" list.
