We'll see what they actually turn out to be. Time to set my team for tomorrow now. Too bad I just got rid of cable till I switch apartments :noidea:

woke up forgetting that I took Sigurdsson out of my team right before I went to bed Oh Lord. He should do well again like the year before he went to Spurs. He's nailed on for that role in the hole behind Bony.
 
After the first kickoff this weekend. Though its showing one of my dudes already went up. probly just a glitch
 
Small group this year compared to past but it seems like it will still be very competitive. Heck, I'm already sitting low in the group.

It was apparent to me that Costa is probably essential for the season last week, although I swapped Sturridge (injury) to Ballotelli last week anyway instead of Diego.

Very knowledgable group. I had a bad week last week and it's going to be tough to make up points in this group.

I've been the one leading the group (JDubbin), but my team has struggled the last two weeks, I believe you are only 9 or 10 points back currently. You guys haven't helped me out (I assume that means roster suggestions?) in any way I know of, so I am not sure who you are referring to... One struggle for me is that I am used to playing on fantasy.premierleague.com, which has different salaries and transfer rules. I have tried to keep my rosters the same for both leagues, but because of that I am running out of transfers quickly on ESPN. I think it will come back to bite me.

P.S. Why the deuce did Liverpool play like junk today against Basel? It's a shame.

I was dreading Monday DiMaria would be out with a hang nail or some other weak shizz and you'd get Tadic's points subbed in ;)
 
Argh! I talked myself out an additional 15 points this week. I had added Calum Chambers to my lineup, moving him off my bench for Branislav Ivanovic, who was been a bit underwhelming lately, at least from a Fantasy perspective. And then on Friday, I talked myself out of the move and put Ivanovic back in my starting lineup. Sure enough, Chambers gets a goal and an assist, good for 18 points, while Ivanovic pulls another 3 point performance. So be grateful that I didn't add an extra 15 points to my lead, fellas. You're welcome.
 
Games on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon this week so have your team sorted by 245 Tuesday. Don't say I didn't warn ya

Sorry i missed the boat this year. Actually in a league through the premier league actual site. I like their version a little better. Also they split this week up.
 
Anyone else been trying, and failing at picking their team for the second segment? It won't move my calender to move past Dec 30th

The game is targeted to reopen for squad selections at 5pm GMT / midday ET on Monday -- so there will be five days to reselect your squads.

Games resume on Saturday so have your rosters set by then.
 
Just a reminder that the second segment starts with the games this week. Rosters were reset and you must have your new team selected by the 745 am game this Saturday in order to earn points.

A separate points tally is also kept for this segment so it would be a good time for any new players to join in if you wish.

It has been a fun league to be a part of! This is my first year doing ESPN Premier League, different from the fantasy.premierleague.com... it has taken me the first segment to work out some kinks, as shown by me running out of player transfers way too quickly. Overall I prefer the actual Premier League fantasy, but I have no complaints going up against fellow syracusefan.com colleagues... even with a current slim 21 point lead!

I do the same thing. Tell myself to hold onto transfers then get anxious and burn them too quickly.

Good to know, I think we will probably switch over to that league for next season, as many here seem to have indicated a preference for it. Hopefully it'll get the group up to a bigger size again
 
Anyone know where cusecpt and mattjd43 are? If they select squads vs taking zeros we'd probably be a top 5 group overall. Average team score is 1098 right now in our league and 5th are 1146. We're really not doing poorly for a group of yanks
