T Hunt

Hunt will not only be our starter until he graduates he will be our leader and team captain. Forget arm strenght, 40 speed, he has it. The kid is a winner a gamer and it is very evident that he has the respect of his teamates and is well liked. His passing has improved so much over the season that i fully expect him to become a better than average passer. In many respects he is just learning the game. I belive that he is just scratching the surface of his talent and that by the middle to end of next year he is going to become a special player. The kid has it.

This. Kid is an absolute gamer and will be given a wonderful sendoff on senior day in two years.

Can't say enough good things about his play - he makes me want to go to every game and cheer him on. Wish I could.

First 35 minutes channelled his inner "frank the tank." Next 20, his inner Terrel Hunt. Next 5, his inner Taylor Martinez... Kid has talent. Hopefully he puts it together.

Hunts long balls all out led the receivers ... which means he has the arm .. just needs to judge distance for accuracy

Hunt is what we have lacked since Donovan left, someone who knows hoe to win games. With better receivers coming in, possibly one or both of our red shirt projects being able to play. McGloster, Burton both have what you can't teach size 6-7-303, 6-6-317, Perles seems to be a good teacher, Hickey he has not been good the last few games.

Insert "grandma post" here.

I think it'll be an open competition this spring. But one thing about Hunt...no moment is too big for him. He certainly always appears calm.

As I think I've mentioned before. Allen looked to be nearly hyperventilating in the final 7 minutes of the penn st game.

I give the coaches credit, because there was a long stretch in October where I wondered why they weren't giving Allen a second look. But they were willing to take some lumps with Hunt given the strengths of the team and hope he developed. Big kudos for that, not sure I would've had that kind of patience.

It's good to make him compete in the spring, can only make him better. I think he'll be starting in '14, but if he isn't for some reason other than injury, that's a good thing too.

Kid's a great story.

It has to be an open competition because Hunt isn't good enough to just hand him the job. With that said if he keeps improving at this rate he will win the job easily

Hunt has been 7-4 since he took over the job, should be 8-3 except we have no kicker. The fact is Hunt is a winner, and that's what a QB is supposed to be, so yes he is good enough. The X factor he brings can't be taught, he is calm under pressure, and makes plays when he needs to. You like others are wrong, too many people want flash, when its all about wins in the end. Terry Bradshaw wasn't pretty, neither was Plunkett, but as the saying goes just win baby.

By the way Ashton was right the Minnesota DB's don't tackle well, Hunt kept running over, and through them all game.

The QB job will be Hunt's to lose, which IMO he won't. But it will be interesting with the two four-star QB recruits coming in, Alin Edouard and AJ Long.

Are you describing Hunt or Tebow?! LOL Replace Hunt's name in your little post with Tebow's and it all fits!

But isn't it nice after the way the season started, to have a QB who knows the offense, and how to win. You also have some talented people coming in at WR, which will provide quality, and depth.

Yes - it is comforting to know that Hunt will be the baseline. QB is like last on the list of concerns, and that is a very good thing.

The average size of our 15 recruits is still a concern for me. They are all good players - thirteen 3-star and two 4-star, but they are small overall. We need big linemen - that is where the game is won or lost, on the line of scrimmage.

The 15 recruits average 202 lbs, and only 2 are linemen.

T-Hunt's instincts running the ball are superb! As others have said, some of the plays he made this year running the ball, especially around the goal line, have been a thing of beauty.

He's a grinder too, and with that he has taken great strides in a relatively narrow window of time to improve the way he works inside the pocket. T-Hunt is a guy who clearly maximized his growth during those 15 extra practices!!

I often think of his aunt and the amazing job she has done loving him after the loss of his parents. I think the SU coaches are doing good work too.

The guy has serious balls. He has work today but he is a winner. That is usually a bs cop out but he comes through like nassib did last year
