He’s a kid. We really can’t be drawing too much from information like this. I looked up at my family a lot when things weren’t going my way in sports, didn’t mean I wanted to be there any less or didn’t have my teammates back.

Harris sure was mopey, but I think we tend to assume a lot in these situations.

It's binocular psychoanalysis.

But... I also think some folks want to shrug off things when they are adding up to an overall crap team attitude. shrug about Taj, shrug about blowing off the alma mater, shrug about showboating/look at me stupidity when getting your a** kicked on the scoreboard... our offensive line and play calling aren't the only things that suck this year. attitude does too and it's taking this team down.

He's good as a free-wheeling, hard hitting safety. He's not a cornerback.

Seems odd to me that the staff values him at CB more than last year's starter (Scoop), but what do I know (don't answer that).

He had a couple of pass breakups last night, but he's giving up so much size that there's just no way to overcome some of those catches against him.

There was a play in the first half where TD had about a half hour to throw the ball ( rarity) and he flung into the third row. The replay showed Riley running open on a deep post. I am not able to see when people are open and when their not from TV camera angles. But I did on that one.

A kid can have a big heart and impressive perseverance. Doesn’t mean he’s the best option to play, especially against 6’3 wideouts.

If he wasn't the best option, he wouldn't be playing. It's astounding that people here think they know the capabilites of the roster better than the coaches. These guys have not been hesitant to make changes if necessary.

The frustration of the WR group as a whole has been evident all year, noted by many here, and gotten progressively worse. Guys giving up on routes, not coming back to the ball in a scramble situation, jawing on the sideline, etc. The body language of Johnson and Riley early on was telling. And let's not forget the full blown Trishton Jackson meltdown during the Liberty game. These guys are frustrated and rightfully so. From what I see, they are creating separation at the route stem and the ball isn't being delivered on time. In fact, it's not being thrown at all in most cases, with most of the completions coming as late checkdowns to the running backs that release out of protection. I agree that sitting on the sideline and pouting isnt a good look and not the right way to handle it. But I can't blame the kid for being beyond frustration.

I really disagree. They don’t make changes next to never. Stritz is decent at nick l and move Trill to corner. Jeez I thought Jones played well at end of last year.

Scoop had a nice play when Cordy was out cooling offf.

Actual receivers caught 20 passes, tommy's stats are a lot better than how he actually preforms, WR's definitely have reason to be upset.

I'm convinced.

He sat one series. That’s all it should be too.
Would like to see Cordy returning kickoffs, and punts. He has good speed and his strength would break some tackles. He could be a gamebreaker there, where you need to be tough.

Did TD get in Taj's face when he dropped the fist 3rd down against Clemson? Everyone from Dino down needs to look in the mirror and self-assess.
You are so correct. This team has laid an egg on national television three times this year. If ever there was a need for honest self evaluation it was actually a week ago but it's definitely now. No more BS, time to have those meetings and right this program. Here's to hoping it gets done right before Friday. Go Orange!!!!!!!

The Cordy defense on this board is such a silly Shafer legacy.

Kid's hardnosed alright. Hardheaded as well apparently. Hope he sits for a long time after that foolishness.

He’s the epitome of the Shafer era in so many ways.

Overall, I think this team lacks leadership on the player side -- which is why stuff like this happens when frustration boils over.

Taj got "punished" appropriately -- this will be a good learning experience.

For the most part, yeah. But there’s plenty of examples in sports of guys finally getting their chance for whatever reason(injuries, a lot of times) and shining.

I remember a lot of discussions on here about how the staff never seemed high on Marcus Sales(one of the resident funny guys on here will take that one somewhere impressive), but he always seemed to produce when he got a chance in games. The narrative was that he was never impressive in practice, but was a gamer. We’ve had the inverse of that too...guys who practice great but when the lights were on they weren’t the same(I know insiders here say that about Ryan Blackwell on the b-ball side of things).

I mean, just last year Harris supplanted Butler, and played way better. There’s a lot of guys who are playing very poorly this year, and I’m sure the coaches are evaluating everything and everybody every day. Wouldn’t shock me if they started making some personnel changes in the coming weeks, and some of them may work out better than things have been.

Interesting to me how some on here pushed the narrative last year that the WR’s preferred Tommy, because Eric “bailed out” and gave up on passing plays and tucked it and ran too much and didn’t find them, where Tommy was the pure QB who hung in the pocket and put the ball on them when they were open and could even “throw them open”.

You're basing that on what, precisely, other than baseless speculation?
