Of a new open air stadium downtown @ the game tonight

Saw Keeley tweet at someone who mentioned that. Interesting, but the guy who tweeted the original, er, tweet, only has like 150 followers so no clue who he is or what connections he might have.

ACC $ and new chancellor will make it happen. I think there is a commitment among key policymakers in the community to help pass something like that.

What kind of capacity are we talking about here? And is this honestly in play?

No doubt scooch ... they could invest that type of money elsewhere and have a far greater impact

I think a new practice facility and some XBOX's are way bigger priorities.

Yup...also what happens to the Dome for Basketball? Makes no sense to build two separate facilities.

Build a new Dome stadium in 10 years down near Drumlins or downtown (if the they raze the projects of Adams and I-81 becomes a parkway or tunnel in the that area)

Just make sure we put family on the back of our jersey.

Just put a retractable roof on dome

You know that would probably cost in the vicinity of $100 million, right? It's not like going and putting snow tires on your car on a Saturday afternoon.

Now would be the time, the Dome can barely contain the 18,000 fans we have.
let Congel build it, he'll be good for a guaranteed 55k when fully built out.

All you guys who talk about an open air stadium... never attended a game at old Archbold Stadium in late November. In the freezing cold and the snow. Trust me, it won't fly.

It's crazy talk.

Here's an outside the box idea. Pump out Onondaga Lake and build a below ground level stadium. :D

Heck, you weren't in East Lansing, like I was last week in a 42 degree monsoon for four hours. Not exactly fun. I told my wife (she's the one with the MSU family ties) that she'd never complain about it being 95F in the Dome again, like opening week against Northwestern.
