So are the offering an invitation because they actually want TCU? Probably not.

Are they offering an invitation to help destroy the Big East? Probably so.

Expansion monopoly at its finest ... they had to trade Pacific Avenue for Oriental Avenue which sucks but it works out because the BE had Connecticut Ave and Vermont Ave and needed that piece to build.

I don't think the Big 12 cares about destroying the Big East - that's Swofford's goal, not theirs. They just want a stable package of schools to assemble around Texas and Oklahoma.
