disagree - if he liked the attention too much he wouldn't be committing to a school in March of his junior year

This is one day before committing to Carolina...

Is it possble he thought he was committing to PSU instead of UNC?

he is still making a midwest swing in 2 weeks so i think he still has a chance to end up at PSU...3rd time might be the charm

Anyone who had the over 2.5 decommits could be looking good.

Already saying how he rushed the process etc etc etc and will be taking all his visits. Was able to use Mom as the scapegoat though. The best part was he gave the interview before even telling the UNC coaches.

My recruitment is wide open

Well that didn't last long...He decommitted from UNC

This one will definitely have 2 or 3 decommitments before it's all said and done. Kid likes the attention a little too much

anomander Not that I ever doubted you, but your recruiting information and insight just gained mucho credibility with me! Nice feel about this one... Now if only young Mr. Clark would look at Cuse again... probably not likely!

He wants the glory of committing to a big time program. Almost no chance he even thinks about taking another look at Syracuse. Also, Urban Meyer is all over him. He's headed to OSU and Michigan soon.

I'm thinking Oklahoma because Clark seems like a girl that can't say no.

The nation's No. 4 tight end Chris Clark will make his college decision in July at The Opening:

But how long will it last?

Not long. This dude is the biggest drama queen out there. he will find a way to commit to Michigan or Ohio St at the Opening, but recommit in time so he can announce st the UUA Game as well. He will ultimately end up at ND cause that's where mommy wants him

Let's be honest none of us want this kid do we? I mean who really wants a kid with this type of personality on their team? I can see a kid like this being a problem for his entire career wherever he goes. I also wonder if SU stopped recruiting him. Don't think he meets SS criteria of being hardnosed. Bye bye Chris Clark...see ya

I definitely don't think we stopped recruiting him, but his head blew up bigger and bigger after each offer. I always respect a kids decision not to come to Syracuse, but this kid has been a special kind of obnoxious the whole time.

Seriously? Why wouldn't you want this kid on the team? Absolute stud.

I agree and disagree with this, he may be great on the field and terrible in the locker room. We all know in Cuse right now the recruits and current players rave about the family atmosphere that Shafer, Gmac, etc. have created. Not saying Clark will be similar, but Mike Williams was probably a top 5 WR in the country and Marrone kicked him off the team cause he was a complete wreck in the locker room. I do get where you're coming from though, up in Cuse we don't pull high 4 stars at will, and this kid clearly has the talent.

Just because the kid can't handle the recruiting process doesn't mean he's a bad kid in the locker room. As long as he's not getting arrested or not getting the grades this staff can handle anyone.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. If Shafe can't get a guy to go out and play hard for CUSE than no one can.

Williams was not a wreck in the locker room. Just because a kid doesn't get good grades and makes bad decisions also doesn't translate to being a "complete wreck in the locker room".

Williams wasn't kicked off the team by Marrone either. Marrone met with him and was going to suspend him for a certain number of games, he chose to leave the team was what I heard. It was because he was out after curfew at the Turning Stone, nothing to do with the locker room.

I think the way he's handling the recruiting process says a lot about him as a person. I think he shows a lack of integrity and and seems to be narcissistic Yes he's a great player but is he a team player? Will he help you be a better team? Does he fit in to the syracuse system of the type of player they want in the program?

You sure about that? Just saying it didn't exactly go down as you say...

I know it's been some time, but it feels like Clark went from being an unassuming kid who genuinely enjoyed (and tweeted about) meeting SU Wide Receiver Chris Clark... to, well, whatever he is now.

Do you honestly believe that Marrone would throw away the best WR we had purely based on being out to late at Turning Stone? He came in trying to change the Cuse atmosphere after the GROB debacle and I'd bet that has a lot to do with Williams "leaving the team."
