Apparently Chryst is keeping the DC intact from the prior staff. Hurts us with Jake. Already a tough flip just got a bit tougher

Not really. With the exception of Aranda, who is the key contact for Pickard, the rest are changing. And Aranda staying has been pretty much a given from the beginning.

yeah Im sure they told Jake that he will most likely be retained prior to that announcement.

Good point, CL/Money. Still going to be a tough flip, but boy would it be a great one to pull off. The Jersey contingent will be coming up with him, recruits and their families together at SU usually brings some good things...

Jake Pickard
: The 6-foot-6, 232-pound defensive end from Millburn (N.J.) Senior High School is currently committed to Wisconsin, but decided to revisit his options after Andersen left Oregon State. The Orange was a finalist in Pickard's initial decision, and remains in the mix as Acosta has developed a strong relationship with him. Acosta, Daoust and Bullough also visited Pickard on Thursday, the source said.
However, with Badgers defensive coordinator Dave Aranda staying, a flip will be difficult. Pickard is also considering visiting Oregon on Jan. 31, according to BadgerNation.com.

if this is such a important visit weekend wouldn't it have been better to hold it on a weekend the basketball team had a game?

The rest of the kids are visiting next weekend during the game... Next weekend is also sat's so some of the kids had to switch to this weekend. Squishing ov between dead period and signing day only left so many choices

Anyone have any info on our chances here?

If I had to guess I'd say Jake doesn't even know at this point.

Gave it our best shot, that's all you can ask for. Still don't feel fuzzy about this one, never really did even after the coaching change. I know nothing though.

This staff has closed out very well, though, and kept the class almost completely intact after a tough season. If they can pull this flip, it'll just reinforce how strong I think they're on the trail already.
