I have no inside knowledge, so this is a fishing expedition.

Team chemistry was tremendous this year. We had 100% buy-in, guys gave it when prospects were darkest. Mid-season we had players giving quotes that they had to own up individually and take responsibility. BAM! 5-and-freaking-1 on the back stretch.

It's clear that we have a team, and they are all-in on what the coaches are selling. Is this different than last year? Who were the internal leaders that stepped up and got it done?

The time at Fort Drum taught them the bigger picture in life, where you depend on one another because your life depends on it. This team realized that no matter what the odds you never give up, Ryan even mentioned the time as part of a bigger picture.

Fort Drum was an extremely valuable experience for the development of the players' and coaches' relationships with one another. This simply cannot be overstated.

However, that experience was not the only thing that welded this team together. Several leaders on the team truly stepped up and forged the team together internally. The coaching staff also made key changes.

The results were incredible, especially after being able to pick each other up after starting out 2-4 and finishing with guns blazing. ing awesome.

I can't help but remember the ridiculous posts by some that the Fort Drum experience was a waste of time. It's amazing what a key board can produce when uncontrolled emotion takes over.

I wonder if the SU Athletic Department has considered flying the 10th Mountain Division flag inside the Dome? I think it would be a great touch and cement the solidarity between the organizations.

I agree 100%.

Last year was blown way out of proportion and Fort Drum helped a bit this year.
