Trey told us he was really bummed he couldn't make the meeting because he had a class. He said he meeting was 1 1/2 hours!
I hope you guys have had a chance to watch Bowling Green. Everyone talks about the wideouts but a versatile tight end is a necessity too.Trey told us he was really bummed he couldn't make the meeting because he had a class. He said he meeting was 1 1/2 hours!

Thank you!! The majority is excited, especially after the meeting
BG was one of the schools recruiting Trey, would think they remember him lol
Not a common name. We have watched them play and we are excited for the future. It'll be fun, that's for sure!
Did Trey hear anything about the meeting that stuck out?Have U heard anything about what Dungey thinks?
Nothing more irritating to a kid than the endless bombardment of parent's questions...He's not a big talker on the phone and gets tired of us asking a ton of questions lol
He will be home soon and we will hear more
Looks like some still do.

Must of missed that. Plenty of browbeating to go around in any case for anyone supporting Shafer.
Don't get me wrong, parents can (and, as I've seen it, do) offer great insights on here. But things have the potential to get a little uncomfortable.
We've got a couple in this thread who've remained cool, but I can understand why some posters suggested that parents check out during the season - even the well-intentioned on here can make posts that hurt feelings. Looks like one dad heeded that warning; I haven't seen his posts in months. Another dad stayed and often made interesting posts, but things got more than a little chippy when posters made valid criticisms about the coach and program. It's unfortunate, too, because I think 100% of the posters refrained from saying anything negative about the guy's son...if anything, everyone's careful to be positive when it comes to the kids of known parent-posters.
If Trey has aspirations of coaching, he's in a good situation with this staff. After all, one of the offensive coordinators he'll be playing for next year was a TE at Wisconsin. If I were Trey, I'd latch onto Sean Lewis and soak up as much as possible. My husband, being a FORMER Penn State fan, knows how fans get ~ we have thick skin and understand that people need to vent and express their OPINIONS which is what these boards are for and actually it can be very entertaining! We know that our kids will come and go and you all will still be here! We realize that a lot of you have been around a LONG time waiting for wins, we pray they are coming with this staff!!!! We hope that now is the start of great things for the SU football program and we are grateful that Trey will be a part of it and hopefully gets to experience it before he has to leave! We have become SU fans forever! Trey has aspirations of coaching so who knows where he will be once he graduates ~ but Syracuse took a chance on him and for that we are forever loyal, thankful, and humble!

Imo, posters should refrain from being overly negative toward any amateur athlete...period.
For me, that's what makes the hoops board unreadable.

Exactly how it should be! Good luck, Trey!Exactly! That's what makes it understandable when you guys get so heated ~ we realize it's frustration! We are excited to see what they think of Trey and if he fits in with their program ~ each player will be evaluated without prejudice completely based on talent and their fit with this offense! One advantage we have seen Trey have is he has always learned new offenses very fast![]()
Why would a rational parent of a SU Football Player want to be on this thread/Link? One day their kids a star , the next he's a headcase..
Exactly how it should be! Good luck, Trey!
