Why do we need these games?
We don't need to play Georgetown with trips already to play Maryland in College Park next to D.C.
We don't need to play St. John's if we keep playing other non-conference games at MSG.
We don't need to play Villanova because, well, who the hell cares about Villanova.
And who cares about Providence, Seton Hall, and the rest?
Those are teams we recruit against. It's better for us that they slink off into the ether when the Big East turns into Atlantic 10 II.
I'm fine with playing Georgetown, after they've become the second-coming of LaSalle. Or if they want to play, then we want 2-for-1's. We're a payday for them, they need us more than we need them.
