Is that the story? Because it sounds like he asked for a raise, Tennessee said okay and then Tennessee wasn’t coming through with it fast enough. At least that’s what someone mentioned the other day.The story is he had a deal with Tennessee and or it’s collective and then he tried to hold out for more money and or cut a new deal elsewhere and UT said no.
I did say I didn’t agree with what he did. My comment was about everyone saying he isn’t worth the money.
I essentially have 2 points.
1- It only takes one team to see him at that type of value. And I doubt he went to them with that evaluation unless he heard behind the scenes another school would get close to that number.
2- just because he didn’t explode last year, he was still only a redshirt freshman getting his first real game experience. Not to mention he made the college football playoff. I think he is much better than people on this board are making him out to be.
