Agree and the announce had the nerve to call out Samuels when he went down claiming he was faking. It seemed like every time we were in an offense flow another Tenn player was down injured but got up and then walked off the field.

Brother. Respectfully what are you watching. Devito was a great kid but he was the 3 and out KING. Angeli was not the problem today. People need to take a step back. It’s tough to follow McCord the next year. Dude literally broke ACC records and had the best SINGLE season of ANY Cuse QB. 99% of QBs are going to be a step back from that. Angeli is no McCord. But he’s not a slouch either. By the time Angeli is done at the hill, I bet he has much better career here than Devito

Agreed. Someone should run Devitos #’s against ranked teams on the road and then compare it with what Angeli did today. A lot of Devitos big games were against Wagner or Holy Cross rabble or ACC bottom feeders.

Angeli is most definitely capable. He seems like a tough player. My only concern is mobility. I think it's maybe a closer game by a score or so if he was able to extend plays. He looked like he was running with concrete shoes on some of the plays. You're going to face tough teams like that again and the only way to win is through extended drives where potential sacks turn into first downs. There's quite a lot to like on offense, it just remains to be seen if this offense got up because they were playing a hard opponent or if that's truly their week to week capability.

I'll tell you one thing. We need to stop getting trounced in the first quarter. Opponents have beaten Syracuse by a combined 97-30 since UNLV and we were underwhelming again today.

I don't know if these results are signal or noise, but our offense doesn't look as suited to playing from behind this year. It's a weird stat. Despite the poor first quarters, we went 6-3 in these games with a dynamic offense that could score from anywhere quickly.

Rewatching some of the clips of the game McDonald did not have a good game at all.
Need to find some kind of blitz package and not this bend and break defense we are playing.
Offense looked pretty good for playing a top 5-10 defense.
Some good things out of the game and some things to really clean up or even change completely.

there was a warning on the broadcast that they were moving the game to ESPNnews.
Doesn't help if you DVR'd the game though.

Angeli had 274 yards on 23/40 1 td 1 int. This was against the number 6 defense in the country in 2024. He held his own out there. We had to make tackles on defense and scheme pressure in the pass rush.

It’s amazing that we don’t have 1 really good player at by far the easiest position to recruit for in college footbal. Hoping Antoine can be that guy since he got that start, but i think the lights were a bit too bright this early. Plus, it shows the decline in McDonald beating him out.

Don’t really see anything in the pipeline either. Was hoping Caden Brown could have taken the leap because he has the measurable's, but that didn’t happen.

Exactly, we lost the UT game in the 1st quarter by some costly mistakes. Look at the scores per quarter;
1st: 0-17 (down 17 points)
2nd: 14-14
3rd: 6-7 (should have kicked the PAT)
4th: 6-7 (see above).

We were down 12 (should have been 10) points with 12 minutes to go.

I said before the game, which team could jell the fastest, limit mistakes, and turnovers would win the game. We lost on all of those.

Defense concerns me much more than Offense right now.

Oh and some of the UT fans were pretty obnoxious. The number of UT fans behind us talking about how they wanted to push us in front of the subway train before and after the game was crazy. They have some mental health issues.
