Tennessee Postgame

I said the same exact thing. Never seen that. Bc if he’s closer sadiq tips it for sure
Here is the throw-in rules from the NCAA Rule Book. According to "c" below, it sounds like you need to keep at least one foot over the designated spot where the official hands you the ball.

Art. 8. The following pertain to a designated spot:
a. The designated spot is the location at which a thrower-in is presenteddisposal of the ball out of bounds as in Rules 4-11.1.a through .c.
b. The designated spot shall be 3 feet wide with no depth limitation.
c. The thrower-in must keep one foot on or over the designated spot untilthe ball is released. Pivot foot restrictions and the traveling rule are not ineffect for a throw-in.
d. The thrower-in shall not leave the designated spot until he has released theball and the thrown-in ball has crossed the plane of the sideline or end line.
e. In arenas or gyms where there is insufficient space along the out-of-boundsline for a throw-in, an official shall require the defender guarding the throwerin to move back a reasonable distance to give the thrower-in an opportunityto make a throw-in.

You’re a throw-in

Tennessee, like Houston, is one of the toughest and most physical teams in the country. To compete with Houston and win here says a lot about the grit of this team. This is a defense first team and we need to focus on capitalizing off of turnovers. When we are humming in transition off of forced turnovers the team is dangerous

Nate George remains a problem.
against elite guards and top 10 defenses. He needs to get back comfortable. I agree with you though. Also think that he will get back to form when the cupcakes come. He was super streaky at GTech too and also beat alot of good ACC teams. It's what we bought.

Good win from an ugly game.
But it’s a building block.

I would still like it if the staff looked at how we consistently passed around the perimeter for zero effect, while Tenn moved it with purpose and effect.

Has anyone seen Tenn play before? Was that them at their worst? I don’t see a top 15 team. Good defense + Carey, not much else.
I saw 3 games. It was an ugly game, but it’s the game we needed to play to beat Houston and Kansas and came up just short in both. I watched them destroy Rutgers to my delight, and beat Houston. This is the worst they played, but our defense definitely had something to do with it. They only attempted 13 threes. So it’s not like they were cold from three. We kept them from getting good looks. It’s why their big played so much and had a career high. We took them out of their game. all they could do effectively against us is bully us in the paint with one player. We were in their face and Kings locked down Gillespie, who is the engine that makes them run. Also, they were missing Estrella, which negates us missing Freeman..

You know who they are playing?
They aren't the life long nemesis for me that Kansas is. Been to too many games against them including last week. Actually a good track record, that doesn't make me hate them any less

Needed it. Nice to get one. Don’t care about what we can’t control. Needed that one. Leadership is such a mindset. Sadiq being a freshman and being as vocal as he is telling the team we need a stop is why this team has a chance to be successful.

Ol Seth Greenberg got a jab in for his boy Autry at half. Toughest 4 game stretch of any team in D1.

I'll say this. If we gut the win out against Houston and then get our doors blown off the next Vegas games and tonight is a double digit loss I would be completely checked out.
