Tennessee Predictions...

Moved to Jacksonville so will be supporting Orange from here. My feeling is this TN game is really going to show what kind of team Fran has put together. Really a toss up IMO as both team are completely different from last year. I think this is an advantage for us, big freshmen come to play and we win this one with a revitalized special teams, great secondary work, and clean offensive football. I have it 41-28 Cuse. We build if that win our home games and another upset for an 8 win season. With some luck who knows. I'll be in Atlanta next week!
Nice. I'm in Jax too (moved less than a year ago from south Florida). I'm an eternal realist bordering on pessimist, so I love your optimism.

To be honest, no one knows how a team is going to perform right out the gate, so having a home' view and opinion of optimistic results in game one is a good thing. We only have talent to consider at this point, so why not be bold and positive about our team. Leave the nay sayers by the side of the road, regardless Fran is building something special here and we all need to breathe the fresh air of being relevant again.

Both offenses struggle early, but SU finds a rhythm with quick passes to playmakers in space. Tennessee is unable to establish a consistent run game behind a revamped o-line and they get worn down up front by SU’s DL rotation. They are forced to rely too heavily on Aguilar to make plays at QB, and he turns it over multiple times putting the Tennessee D in a tough spot. Angeli is comfortable in the offense and doesn’t turn it over. Willis gains traction as Tennessee is forced to run with nickel packages. SU’s secondary does enough to contain a young receiving core that doesn’t have enough time to get open. Tennessee’s weakness at right tackle is exposed by SU’s edge rushers, David Reese and David O are able to get into the backfield and be disruptive. Gary Bryant has a coming out party.

We flip that banner 27 years later than we should have.

Now that Fran's here, it's the best time of the year again.....
"CUSE: 31
"Vols: 17
BTW: I've been noticing how both ESPN and CBSSports have been downplaying the legitamcy of Tenn (calling them overrated)....meaning that when 'CUSE defeats them, it'll been more about the Vols being overrated and less about SYracuse being legitamate!
Hopefully after their defeat, the Vols run the table in the SEC or shows up in their league championship game!
As for my alma mater: it's the beginning of a spectacular and amazing season ---------- 11-2 pick but 10-3 min

Forgot to mention.......given that this game is basically a primetime game for 'CUSE......a great performance and win would definitely improve our already ranked recruiting!
SYracuse needs to make a statement to the FBS and to the ACC that we're back to winning ways!

The Vols don’t have a shot in hell of running the table in the SEC. I could see them finishing .500 in conference this year.

You are absolutely right. This is a tremendous opportunity.
I hope the boys are ready to kick some tail.
We have big boys all over the field now.
I hope we play like it.
