What the heck is going on up there, Doug?

I am usually a glass half full person but this is all getting out of hand real fast.

if any kid should get a second chance it's him. hope Marrone gives it to him.

Didn't both his parents die in less than a year apart? I think it only happened a year or two ago. I'll cut the kid some slack, and I hope he gets a second chance.

I will say though, stealing is a lot worse, than showing your penis. Ashton looks like the golden child, now.

FULMER CUP GLORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Who will be this seasons Marcus Sales?

So true. I have no doubt this kid's going to get a slap on the wrist and a second chance considering the rough draw this kids been given over the last year. But its still frustrating to constantly have these types of issues.

Oh, the irony of the amount of the theft, $44.

Looks like another schollie just became available for next year.

What is wrong with these friggin kids-

can marrone find anyone that aint a idiot -so far its not looking good

What he did was foolish and unacceptable. But considering that he's lost both parents, based on this poor choice, it's probably not a stretch to surmise that he's not getting a whole lot of help financially. That doesn't excuse what he did but I do think it should be taken into consideration.

Hopefully it was just one poorly thought out decision and not indicative of deeper, larger issues. He should obviously be punished but I don't think he should be put out the program -- if this was his first offense.

shoplifting is a lot worse than showing your penis to an auditorium full of basketball fans? really? I think I, and the penal system (heehee), disagree with that.

2 different situations -one was done while at su and the other while in hs-

you can do stupid in hs,thats what kids do-
when you get to college its time to grow up and become part of society-

what it comes down to is-tv's vs perfume- is stealing from a mall less severe to marrone than stealing from teammates -
is his future qb held to the same standards as a lb

Two things:
(1) I personally did just as much dumb stuff in college as I did in HS. I'm not sure why you think the light bulb turns on between HS graduation and entry into college

(2) Are you equating a stolen TV with a stolen bottle of cologne?

The kid has had a brutal draw in life, he obviously has some growing up to do, but he absolutely deserves a second chance (assuming he's not a constant problem). I would be shocked if this doesn't result in just a slapped wrist and a warning not to do anything this stupid again.

I worked at the dining hall washing dishes for a semester. As most places do, we had separate bins for empty cans and trash. I can still remember swiping full bags of empty cans from the dining hall. At $.05 per can, each bag was worth about $20 each.

Not proud of it and I should have known better...but it's amazing what you'll do when you're broke.

What's amazing to me is crap like this has now happened to a QB in our 2010 class, our 2011 QB and now our 2012 QB. Come on now. Not exactly showing any leadership qualities hear boys.

(1) so you were i idiot in college so everyone can be?

(2) so what differentiates one theft from another to you? who it as stolen from? what its worth?

(3) plenty of kids get a bad draw- i have a father who enjoyed hitting me with a shovel more than just about anything,i wish to this day he would have died -

Thats a t-shirt at Hollister. That store should be charged with theft for every purchase.

We might be one of the only schools where this happens for one simple reason... we play by the rules. You think a kid having a $44 bottle of cologne he wants "show up" on his dresser is a big deal at other schools? Someone would've made it happen. I'm sure Malcolm Cater wouldn't have had issues "finding" a free TV either. 3 UGA rb's fail a drug test and get suspended for one game, Thomas gets 1 calender year. It goes on and on and on.
