Terrel Hunt

Makes you wonder how much last years injury could have caused this one too. Did the ACL get affectedt then? Did he come back a little too soon or hard for an inactive ACL. Could he have partially torn it earlier and now it just gave? I like Dungey but no doubt this REALY hurts us this year. Maybe much more as it could end up costing Shafer his job and put us in start over with a new staff and system mode. A shame because there was a lot of good in that game.

you mean achilles?

edit: nvmd, saw your follow up post.

Terrell out 6-9 months as per Bleacher Report.

SU Athletics is also reporting that he's done for the year with a ruptured achilles.

I heard prior to the game from two different people (one was a former player) who are close to the program that Hunt was not going to play due to a minor injury. Then when he did not come out of the tunnel with the captains so I thought it was true. Did anyone else hear the same thing prior to the game?

If Terrell Hunt needs a new friend to get him through this, he should call Taysom Hill of BYU. Foot injury today against Nebraska, lost for the season. After missing most of last year due to a knee injury. Unfortunately similar paths for two guys whose teams expected and needed a lot from.

Best wishes to Terrell Hunt for a speedy recovery. Of course football is a tough game but I don't recall hearing of an Achilles tendon rupture (if that is what it was) in a college or professional player prior to this one. However, once I took a newer antibiotic sold under the brand name Levaquin and the fine print said it could cause tendon ruptures up to 3 months following last usage! (Sometimes "the cure is worse than the disease.") One odd thing - in the videos on the ACC site you can see (?) a ripple in the turf after he has passed over it ... but maybe that was just a shadow. I know it was recently installed.

It's actually fairly common. Google NFL Achilles injuries and you should recognize several player names who have torn the Achilles tendon.

I take it you haven't had a kidney stone yet. :vomit:

Don't use that word, yet. I have not and hope I never do. When I ruptured my achilles I came down after making a lay up and it snapped. It felt like someone hit me in the calf with a sledge hammer.
