Texas is going to want a big name.
They will try for Chris Beard.
I wonder who will be second in line.
Shaka is doing the smart thing.

He could do damage at Marquette.

Try for Beard for sure...throw a ton at Oats maybe?
Oats would leave Alabama but I doubt for Texas.
They are both football schools and the SEC is easier to win in for hoops than Big XII.

I think Oats has UNC written on him if they go outside of the Carolina family.

Beard is the first pick but we will see if he wants it.

Kelvin Sampson. Great at Big12 OU, rehabbed his image and put together another strong program at Houston.
If you bothered to look his son is on staff at Houston and is rumored to be the HCIW at Houston when Kelvin Sampson retires.

He isn’t leaving for that job and screwing his son.

For all the sht Barnes received he was twice the coach Shaka was at Texas.
Exactly in 2003 he ran into us.

Barnes screwed up the Durant season.
He had no business losing to USC with Durant in 2007.
That was a terrible loss.
Durant is one of the 2 best players to play in college the last 20 years.
Along with Anthony Davis.

You can’t flame out second round with that talent.

Alsacs: Message board Pitbull. If he locks his jaws on your butt, it will be months before you can sit down for no.2.

Why can't he take over the Houston job if Kelvin went to Austin?

You have no idea how much dislike Houston has for Texas-Austin.

That fanbase would consider him a traitor. Not going to say anymore.

Very similar to Lon Kruger in the sense that he just doesn't come up when discussing successful coaches despite a very impressive track record. He took Providence, Clemson, Texas and Tennessee to multiple tournaments.
