Thank god we're leaving this Sh!thole

I just hope that Louisville, Cinic and maybe USF make it out as well. Those other two teams can go to hell for all I care...

Memphis is really going to help that burgeoning football conference.

"While the addition of Memphis is for all sports, the Tigers’ would help offset the future losses of men’s basketball powers Syracuse, West Virginia, Syracuse and Pittsburgh."

We're so powerful, he mentions us twice.

Dang. We're going to miss out on playing road games in Memphis? Is there any way we can retract our commitment to the ACC?

What's (sadly) hysterical is that you only need to remove California, Idaho and Tennessee to represent what the Big East map would have been had SU, Pitt and WVU not left.

This is what has always cracked me up about those who were bemoaning us leaving a "northeastern" conference for a "southern" conference. That "northeastern" conference had us traveling to Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana regularly. I'll trade Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia for that in a cocaine heartbeat. That's what some of us call the "east coast". :bang:

Louisville is the only one worthy of being in a major conference. The other two are major in name only and deserve to be in Conference DOA 2.0.

I can live with this...

If West Virginia is allowed to leave early, sources told CBSSports.com that Pittsburgh and Syracuse also would try to leave for the ACC but not until 2013. Although sources said it’s “technically not too late” for Pitt and Syracuse to join the ACC for the 2012 season, the two schools will remain in the Big East in 2012, but would likely negotiate to join the ACC in 2013, a year ahead of schedule.

@slmandel
Memphis' BCS ranking (CollegeBCS.com) past 4 years: 115, 114, 112, 96. Enjoy, Big East.

Agreed screw Cinci and USF, they will be right where they belong. How would you like to be Rutgers and UCONN right now? Holy

Louisville will be out soon enough, what a cesspool the new big east is, makes you really want to vomit. It would really kill me if we were still in this mess. Thnak you Gross, thank you Gross. I will remember you come donation time

So good good you gotta say it twice twice

Maybe. Even after scraping the bottom of the barrel, the BE still only has 11 football teams.

Navy will make 12.

UConn, Rutgers, Cinci, Louisville, USF, UCF, SMU, Houston, Boise, San Diego, Memphis, Navy.

What a diference a decade makes. Oh Lord

My bad. It's hard to count turds while they're swirling down the drain.

UConn, Rutgers, Cinci, Louisville, USF, UCF, SMU, Houston, Boise, San Diego, Memphis, Navy.

My God. It's the first time I've seen all those names listed out together. What a terrible league. For football and basketball. Zero prestige. Zero tradition.

Who, other than the alumni of those schools, would pay to watch any of those teams play? Good luck selling that to networks, Marinatto.

Pretty ugly BCS conference. Poor Rutgers is the only BCS school left in it. :rolling:

You got an FCS call-up, 8 CUSA teams, 2 MWC teams, and an independent (not named Notre Dame/BYU)...

The only deserving CUSA team is UL, and maybe UC. UC never did address their 35k stadium issue, they look pretty genius now, as it'll be hard to get 35k people to watch those teams.

Two FCS call-ups. UConn and USF were both 1-AA's just a dozen years ago.

SMU has a tradition, albeit a rough one.

The only fiddler on the roof that league has is Marinatto, but much more Nero than Tevye.

"You may ask, why is this league called the Big East when it includes San Diego and Boise? I'll tell you. I don't know. But it's a tradition!"
