The more i look back the more i realize just how lost GM was as an OC.

Not only did he call some of the most horrible games in the history of SU football but he simply didnt have a plan. This guy cost us big time. For those in the know i remember HCSS saying someplace that he missed out on his first choice. Does anyone know who that might have been? Anyway it isnt GM fault that he was given the chance that is on HCSS and he certainly couldnt help all of the injuries, still if we could have just picked an OC with some experiance one who could have been decent not great just decent i wonder how much of a difference it would have made.

I realize this has been one of your favorite topics, but GM is not the poster child for why the team was so terrible last year. He is but one of several reasons. Time to look forward.

I would like to make this thread more controversial by saying we should never ever again hire an OC with the first name George.

I thought his first choice was Cubit.

I don't know, it seems all successful Offensive Coordinators run jet sweeps out of their own endzone, with their biggest running back on third down. Don't they? After this I knew we were in over our head with him.

To be safe, let's also rule out anyone named Brian. That way we can put 2005 to 2007 behind us too. Forever.

we should also never hire a defensive coordinator who has been our offensive coordinator

We should also never hire an offensive coordinator who has been our defensive coordinator

NEVER MIND you already took care of that by never hiring anyone named George

Not the poster child just the petulant one.

It was a high school level offense, run poorly by college athletes, designed by him. He loves his new position at NC, as if this abomination never occurred, so good luck and good riddance.

While we are at it, Lets never again hire anyone to be associated with the football team who's name is Greg, or Gerg.

When GM was asked who was the most influential person in his life he mentioned George Deleone as a brilliant offense mind and I use all three of his plays, run, run, pass...punt
