hahahaha. It was exactly what you said. ugh.All that would happen is we'd get more frustrated because the answer would be some dumb coach-speak statement about "you can't take the game away from the kids" or "we were thinking we could pin them deep/get a turnover" or "the defense had been playing well and we were confident we could get a quick stop" or some other nonsense we've heard before.
Look, it's as simple as this - these guys are hardwired to treat these situations a certain way. There's no such thing as "we've got nothing to lose" when they make these decisions. It never even enters the thought process.
