That put back dunk by Kyle, can we have a board dedicated to it in perpetuity?

The Hak dunk at ND was the best of his dunks imo. Posted up and dunked over, I believe Francis, from the block. Think Raftry said something like, “Bring your lunch!”
That dunk was amazing…..but the one on Ivey in final four is better to me (considering the magnitude of the game and the momentum it generated)

I can't find it, but Louie McCroskey had an incredible dunk when we were getting smoked by someone. Maybe one of you folks remember. Red Bruin had an incredible put back against DePaul once when we were getting wiped out.

Absolutely remember the Louie!

It was against Uconn in the Dome while we were getting smoked. He stared down the defense after which kind of was embarrassing but the dunk was top notch.

McCroskey dunked a chair once.

From this video, which is about 10 minutes long with some of the best dunks back in the day, go to the 3:23 mark and think that's the one you are referring to,.

Sherm Douglas best lobber ever.

Yep. That’s it. I thought Mourning was on the floor, but I guess not. The other dunk on that tape at 3:40 is my absolute favorite of all time. 90 feet - :03 - 3 passes - no dribbles- ends in an alley oop dunk Douglas to Owens.

I have that game on tape somewhere. Our comeback was 5 minutes of absolute insanity…when people talk about the loudest the dome has ever been (for hoops)….this has to make the list.

Sherman Douglas was pure magic. His reverse dunk in that clip capped how special he was.

Awesome times for sure.

Thanks for posting, Ryan

Dave Johnson’s put back one hand dunk over Mourning was pretty crazy too.
I always wondered if any board denizens were at the practice when JB say DJ did a 360 dunk from the foul line, and JB ended practice. I would go 3-4 times a year, but I didn’t see that.

He’s getting some serious looks as a first round pick in the NBA Draft
Begrudgingly, I disagree. I like him, he's a decent college center, but he's too small for an NBA center, with not enough skills to play PF in the NBA. He may make a decent living playing overseas, but not the NBA, much less being a first-round NBA pick. Let's not get carried away with a few highlight plays. Everyone has highlight plays.

As much as I loved DJ, if that’s the one, it doesn’t compare to yesterday by Kyle

I’m sure it’s been said somewhere on this site before, but the player that I think of most that compares to William Kyle, for me at least, is Conrad McRae
Same but I think Kyle is an even better athlete. Which is saying an absolute ton

Not as a 5, but I think he has some potential as a 4.
