We have Gene Simmons at qb with a potato arm and of course we throw three times in ot

Then our secondary that doesn't even try to tackle gets rewarded for doing everything the wrong way

Then instead of ending the game he keeps running

Lynch barf

Refs barf

Five hour game barf

You just shake your head and laugh at the end

Good comedy in the game thread. Going to settle down with my Trump bear, always settles me down

Ahem, it's "Trumpy Bear". I'm going to start using that as an insult, moving forward.

Maybe if Welch spent his formative years playing dodgeball against muscular nineteen year olds his arm wouldn’t be so potato-y.

Just a thought.

Worked for me.

I think those people I saw marching up the steps toward the exits after our OT FG might be feeling just a wee bit sheepish and disappointed.
Confession. I left my seat when they got the first down in OT. Stopped behind the disabled seating to watch what I thought was going to be the game losing score. Saw the game winner as Trill scored at the end zone I was overlooking.

Best everyone to their cars. lol.

And to be honest. Everyone that went today is a good fan.

the crowd was a little better than I expected.

I had to convince JeremyCuse to stay so you weren’t the only one.

hah we did the same thing with our two kids. Watched from the first level concourse in the end zone where the OT was. Had a great view of trill rip the ball out. That was a long game with kids. It was a die hard but lively crowd. Was the most fun of any home game this year. Can barely talk now.

That's exactly what I did. With respect to the OP first off props or the team overall for not packing it in and getting the win with a good effort but that said our db's were driving me crazy.

Nobody lays out anymore to tackle guys from behind or the side, including Cisco and Frederick on the 75 yard touchdown they got just looked at each other instead of tackling the guy thinking the other one was going to make the play, none did. And then Cisco on another touchdown if he lays out could of tackled the other guy at the 1 yard line on another TD, but no let the RB run right in. Too many of these guys are all worried about their NFL futures instead of laying it all out there.

Now get off my lawn....

Question - did Sean Riley play today? I didn’t notice him.

Just got back to Virginia, but some quick thoughts, might as well jump off from here.

1. Cisco may be a great ball hawk but he’s a huge liability on many plays. There were clearly plays that he just didn’t want to tackle.

2. Place was about half full but credit those there, it was loud. The diehards can bring it when they have to.

3. The game was excruciatingly long. Injuries, replays, including the Taj TD that seemed like it took 20 minutes. That had to be the longest first quarter that didn’t involve someone being carted off.

4. It was my 10 yo son’s first football game in the Dome. As I’m a traveler, it’s usually a friend event. He went thru a wide range of emotions. Excitement early, anger with the refs, anger with us not wanting to tackle. I thought the first and goal at the 1, FG, 75 yard Wake TD when Frederick and Cisco didn’t want to tackle was going to be the end of his fandom. Exhilaration at the end.

5. Since we sit right at the tunnel entrance we had coats in hand on the Wake OT drive. Beating traffic would be ideal because we were staring at a 6 hour drive home. But when the wind blew the other way, we stayed to watch the Alma Mater and cheer the team off the field. We still managed to get from parking spot on Adams/Crouse to I-81 south in under 2 minutes. No traffic at all.

6. Really glad I went and that the seniors got that send off. 5-7 isn’t what anyone wanted but it’s better than the 3-9 that seemed a real possibility. Next year we don’t go in as the ranked team, the chip will be back on our shoulder. I think it will benefit us. There’s a lot to build on and I’m interested to see who becomes the new DC.

LGO!!

He returned punts and played some on offense. He went in motion across the formation a few times, but I don’t think ever saw the football. I noticed Dino talking to him after that one fair catch where we all held our breath.

we threw one deep ball to him but a bad snap got Welch’s feet messed up and he under threw it by a yard. Riley didn’t play as much on offense because we went with Elmore almost exclusively instead of a slot guy.
