That XP was no good

If that call was against us, we'd be flipping out. Instead I was flipping out on the Lemon and Bailey no-calls.

Screw Toledo, ACC schools don't lose to MAC schools.

At a minimum ripping Bailey's helmet off should've been a 15 yard facemask because his right hand was on the facemask while his left hand was on the back of the helmet.

That was one of the dirtiest plays I've seen in a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if more is made of that in regards to that Toledo player.

What if someone hit Bailey when his helmet got torn off on top of that?!

I'm with DomeStranger. I think we were saved by 1) the ref blowing the call and saying it was good and 2) that type of call not being reviewable.

I think that's why they took such a long time calling it. I doubt the time spent was looking to see if it was good or not. They were probably thumbing through rulebooks or calling their supervisors to see if they were able to overturn it.

They would rather the blame be on the refs on the field rather than the ones in the booth.

Don't forget all the holding calls on the screens and on the D-Line while we're adding up the no call on Lemon and Bailey.

We don't need one. They showed the ball directly in front of the crossbar covering over it then going wide right shortly after.

And I could have sworn that I saw Loeb tell Krautman that it was no good. I was hoping no one on tghe feild seen or heard him, lol.

I think you're exactly right.

I'm fine with it. The bullshit no-call pass interference on Lemon in the endzone makes up for it.

Not really - the extra point didn't go in. It's an objective oversight on the refs part that is supported by clear video evidence. The pass interference is a subjective judgment call that could have gone either way. The announcers thought it was incidental contact.

That being said, no one will remember the ref's extra point gaffe in a week, and we'll still be 3-1. So I'm happy.

The Refs blew a pass interference in the last drive that could have been a Syracuse Touchdown, so this was an evening of the field by the football gods...

The announcers did not think it was incidental. The Pitt guy (forgot his name) felt it was interference.

At the end of the year, the only thing that matters is this is a Win. We've had so many breaks go against us over the years we are do for some thing to go our way once in a while. Be happy we are 3-1 and GRob is long gone.

Hard to tell but if you look at the ref under the post it doesn't even look like he raised his head to look ... LOL ... did he just fall asleep? It was like he was late on signalling as well, I wonder if he got caught sleeping and just figured oh it was an XP it must have gone in.

The replay may have been for the booth to gather evidence to discipline him, which of course they're not going to announce.

Kick was good just look at the crowd

I hope it goes unnoticed by the national media.

Nope - it just got highlighted on CBS halftime show. It was almost laughed at though, there wasn't too much complaining. There are always blown calls, it's just the oddity of this call that will get it attention.

It's pretty clear from that view that we missed the XP, but the ball disappears in the side view they showed on tv. I don't think it was good, but whatever. Bad calls are made all game, and if the ball disappeared from the other view, then there isn't enough to reverse the call on the field.

that's exactly what i saw. hard to argue with the pic above but that other angle really confused the matter. The interesting part was that the ref said that the call on the field was "confirmed" not that the call on the field "stands." I may be mistaken but I think that's deliberate when they call it that way.

Are you serious??? Crying for Toledo???

Did you forget after that XP they got the ball inside the SU 5 and played for a field goal?!?

That XP was a gift from the football gods... who then punished Toledo with an interception in OT for cowardice.

I knew it was no good in real-time. Saw the yellow blink out when the FB crossed in front of it. I was floored when the refs signaled 'Good'. When I started yelling was when they went to review. I did not think that was reviewable. Maybe it is. Anyone know for sure?

I want to hear the explanation for this. Total *** UP. I don't wanna win like this!

You sound like you are pissed they called it good and we won.

did anyone ever get an explanation on the penalty that ended the first half that was a 2 yd penalty?

This win has no credit to it. We obviously should have lost.

CBS showed a better replay and it clearly missed by a lot.

EDIT... I'm not here to make friends so I'll tell you how it is.

I'm guessing that was a spot foul for illegal forward pass. 5 yards from the spot and loss of down. Of course that means the QB was THREE YARDS beyond the line of scrimmage when he threw the ball. That drive ended in a 52 yd. FG that would not have been good from 52 yds and 3 inches.

So? Were you pissed about the no call when Lemon got interfered with in the end zone? We won.
