The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

So far Ash appears worse than Gregger. Not joking.
I actually disagree. I think every program has a natural state of success. Syracuse has historical success and it requires much more suckiness to get it to the state that Grob did. Whereas Rutgers' natural state is crap and the amount of underhanded deeds and negative recruiting required to reach a short period of mediocrity is astronomical and unsustainable.

I didn't realize that Alaimo committed to Pitt while he was camping at Rutgers. That's gotta sting a bit.

Besides Harris, RU also had another NJ WR recruit commit elsewhere (NC State).

Saturday was a rough day On The Banks.

Yes, but they got two unrated commits. They seem happy.

I remember going to the game @ Rutgers in 2010 that sealed the first bowl game since 2004. That meant a lot to all the SU fans that trekked down. Felt damn good!!

I just wanna see SU schedule so they can smash them over and over and show the NJ guys there is no reason to play at Rutty.

The B1G is doing that job. Not sure why Rutgers woudl refuse to lay Syracuse but they do. Apparently, it is better to lose NJ kids to PedState, MState, Michigan, tOSU, et al, than to a NY team not in your conference whereas most schools are happy to see local ids NOT go to conference mates.

By chance, does anyone think that Rutgers may be trying to out-SEC the SEC by wanting the local kids who refuse to play for them to go to a conference mate?

Are they trying to speed up the full membership timeline with scheduling favors? That would be hilarious. I wouldn't put it past them.

Grob was able to recruit some top guys. Carter, Hogue, Jones, Smith, Williams etc. In his first year he never lost 78-0 and we played some top 25 teams. Grob was handed a team that was already losing to Rutgers and Temple, don't make it sound like he was handed a coach mac team the way P was. I'm no Grob apologist, the guy flat out sucked and I was calling for his head after the 1st game of year 3, but Ash up to this point has been worse, much worse.

I've never reacted that way to an offer to go bowling. How deprived are they?

Ever since the ESPNZone in Times Square closed down, they've had nowhere to go for fun. Remember when "our campus is 75 minutes from Times Square" used to be a recruiting pitch for RU?

Save for the fact their delusional guys over at Rovels loved to tell me they were only 30 mins to Manhattan...a fun bunch to try to argue facts with. Maybe at 3am you could make it in 30 mins...

I go bowling every Wed night. But my reactions is more akin to:

They used to like to argue that you can see the Manhattan skyline from their stadium.

I just went over to their board for once and saw this about realignment "IMHO B1G will do a two stage to 18. 2020-2022 range: Texas and FSU. Will blow up Big XII, and wound ACC. Stage two 2023-2025 range: ND + UVa."

They are so full of it
