The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Hey! That's a 25% improvement over normal years. Ash really is the answer for Rutgers. If he had Edsall's contract, he would have a monster bonus coming his way!

I’m hearing he’s up for the Greg Robinson Memorial “Little Engine That Could” Award, given to the most pitiful football coach in the Northeast. Not given every year...a body of work must be established before consideration, but in the consensus of the judges, Mr. Ash has exceeded expectations. Well done, sir!

Looking forward to Rutgers getting their Ash kicked as they get the SHI knocked out of them in their aptly-named stadium. Be Red and be dead!

Pretty sure they have to rename thw trophy after ash now.

Rutgahs just misses the Top 25. Too bad it's a list on which you'd rather not be included. A lot of NY schools on the list, both private and SUNY, that you'll see as you roll through it.
Not sure I like this list. There are some pretty great architects and some nice architecture. There’s a lot of babies going out with the bath water here.

But if they've got 1 building done by a super-big architect surrounded by 75 that would get a 1st year Arch student a C- ... My impression of those critiques were that they were wasting the efforts of the big architects.

I saw a documentary one time hosted by Prince Charles about architecture. In it, he ripped Yale up one side and down the other because they had buildings done by some of the best architects ever, but they were all different and had no unifying theme or anything like that. Pull down a granite Beaux Arts building from the 19th Century and put up a Brutalist school poured concrete one in its place, even though it's surrounded by Beaux Arts granite buildings..

Rutgers gets major locker room upgrade. Rutgers debuts new locker room - FootballScoop

I heard from a very reliable person that SU football is going to receive a major donation in the near future. I hope they use that money to make similar upgrades to the locker rooms in the football wing.
Not impressed by the new Rutgers locker room. It looks like they hired one of those reality shows that do makeovers to put lipstick on a pig. Except they used a rookie designer attempting their first design.

The wall of what looks like raw sewage was particularly distressing to look at, along with the zebra stripe ceiling.

At the end, they show two lockers that appear to belong to a middle aged couple. I was curious. Are they the new starting safeties? The new placekicker and holder? No, it turns out the Browns gave the $4 million for this disaster. They must be aghast at how that money was wasted.

It looks like an Atlantic City casino to me. Come to think of it, they probably hired those architects to design it.

A little strange to put the players’ photo above their lockers, isn’t it?

Seeing as they can't read, it's the only way to find their lockers.

It will help the new coaching staff in 2020.

I so want Ash to still be there next year so we can win 59-0. If they get an actual coach we might only win 49-0.

If they can, ahem, improve and win 3 games this year, Ash will reach the glorious 10 wins in 4 years level that GERG did. Extension!!

It didn’t cost anything they just got their mugshots from the police department for free

He’s a vocal critic of contemporary architecture.

The article starts out taking the NCAA to task on its hypocrisy. But Wetzel takes the time to do it right and land this line:

And yes, some will make poor choices or sign with a bad person. So what? This is America. People start businesses doomed to fail. They get married and then divorced. They add Rutgers to their conference. Having the right to make the wrong decision is part of being an adult.

NCAA's 'Rich Paul Rule' shows its contempt for basketball players
