LOL I thought it was tomorrowAround me in CNJ, Not a single peep this week about their game tonight.
When you schedule like that your fans are bored and have no idea how good the team actually is. And you're completely out of the national conversation. But their fans will be happy with the 3 W's.Rutgers first three games, all at home:
Ohio
Miami of Ohio
Norfolk State
I think Ohio gives them a game honestly, Navarro is a menace. When you schedule like that your fans are bored and have no idea how good the team actually is. And you're completely out of the national conversation. But their fans will be happy with the 3 W's.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider betting on Ohio. They could definitely pull it offI think Ohio gives them a game honestly, Navarro is a menace.
Wow! surprised to hear that he is still with Ohio. College Football in 2025 lol. An Ohio win over Rutgers would be cinematic to start Week 1!I think Ohio gives them a game honestly, Navarro is a menace.
C'mon... to a fair weather fan... that is "Ohio State" and "Miami (FL)." I bet there are at least a few people in NJ dumb enough to make that mistake. Perhaps they are Rutgers trustees.Rutgers first three games, all at home:

When it comes to rivals... I can live with Pitt and BC winning an OOC game. I can live with WVU being solid. Even Penn State can have whatever success they want out of the B1G.I, for one, will be watching and rooting for Ohio. I think they have a good chance of winning.
Penn St is absolutely detestable and deserve a Rutgers type fate. When it comes to rivals... I can live with Pitt and BC winning an OOC game. I can live with WVU being solid. Even Penn State can have whatever success they want out of the B1G.
But I will always want Rutgers to lose. I want them to go 0-12 every year and disband their program. We had a great thing going in NJ from 1980s through late 1990s... until Coach P allowed Schiano to get a toehold playing weak opponents and getting a few wins. A few ranked seasons and they are off to the B1G.
It should have been us. Not those frauds.
Clearly Schiano is fully back in charge of scheduling and he’s using his old playbook for ‘success’. All cupcakes OOC - then try to somehow squeak your way to 3-6 in conference - BOWL ELIGIBLE - cue the contract bonuses!
They have won ten games like three years in a row, even with a new coach last year, and have Navarro back. I put $10 on them at +440. They win and I win $44.I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider betting on Ohio. They could definitely pull it off

Make it so Orange Gods
And they will still go 5-7 and have to hope for an APR assisted bowl bidRutgers first three games, all at home:

Be careful with that bet , Navarro might have his knee taken out by Shitano’s goons during the coin flip at midfieldI'd be lying if I said I didn't consider betting on Ohio. They could definitely pull it off
You got a copy of Shady's new playbook, didn't you?Be careful with that bet , Navarro might have his knee taken out by Shitano’s goons during the coin flip at midfield
I agree with all of this, except their one ranked season had nothing to do with their BIG invite. When it comes to rivals... I can live with Pitt and BC winning an OOC game. I can live with WVU being solid. Even Penn State can have whatever success they want out of the B1G.

I don't think the B1G would have considered Rutgers circa 1999 or even 2003. But once they had that one very good year and a few OK ones, the narrative that they mattered to the NYC metro area took off. So, yeah, I kind of do think it mattered.I agree with all of this, except their one ranked season had nothing to do with their BIG invite.
