When it comes to rivals... I can live with Pitt and BC winning an OOC game. I can live with WVU being solid. Even Penn State can have whatever success they want out of the B1G.

But I will always want Rutgers to lose. I want them to go 0-12 every year and disband their program. We had a great thing going in NJ from 1980s through late 1990s... until Coach P allowed Schiano to get a toehold playing weak opponents and getting a few wins. A few ranked seasons and they are off to the B1G.

It should have been us. Not those frauds.

They have won ten games like three years in a row, even with a new coach last year, and have Navarro back. I put $10 on them at +440. They win and I win $44.

I agree with all of this, except their one ranked season had nothing to do with their BIG invite.

I don't think the B1G would have considered Rutgers circa 1999 or even 2003. But once they had that one very good year and a few OK ones, the narrative that they mattered to the NYC metro area took off. So, yeah, I kind of do think it mattered.
