during the upcoming season who do you think you are gripe about getting too much PT? how about not enough??

Hard to say. One thing for sure is that competition in practice should be pretty intense as we have lots of good players and depth. Something desperately lacking the past few years. JB has the bodies this year so if a player is not playing well, someone should able to replace or slide over to replace him. Too many times we had to live with many calamities in the recent past because there was nobody to replace the offender. Except for Kaleb perhaps but that was dire straits. Not worried about it.

Assuming Moyer plays [which is no guarantee], I envision Thompson and Moyer as being the 9th and 10th men in what will primarily be an 8 player rotation. They'll get some inconsistent run and perform intermittently well, a la MCW in 2012, prompting posters to complain that they should be playing more.

Of the regular rotation guys, I'd expect to hear it about Howard and Chukwu.

I'm definitely going to gripe that Lydon is playing too much center.

Beyond that, too soon to say. But the guards will need to play pretty well to keep me from lobbying for more minutes for Howard.

Howard could get the "too little time" award, but I think he'll be pretty close to a 50/50 split with Gillon. So maybe by default Thompson will win the award since he'll be the most likely to get minutes in the early season and the DNPs late in the year.

As for "too many minutes", I'll have to say Cooney. Old habits are hard to break on this board.

The "too little time" award is all Frank's to lose. If AW3 is at the 2, FH is doomed from the start as the 4th guard. And Gillon will probably get the "too much time" award because people won't like him beating out FH for the 3rd guard minutes.

With AW3 at the 3, TT has a good shot at the award. He should see minutes during nonconference, and then in tight games have little time.

I understand as a loyal 5th year Sr DC2 has to start, but not jumping Chucky is flat out stupid

Mo Howard!!!

Well, he's going to have to make shots this year. I think the rest of his game is solid, but he's gotta be able to make shots when the games are for real, and not just in practice.

And you are sure that Roberson won't be jumping?

And you are sure that Roberson won't be jumping?

It could be Roberson. Could also be Lydon, who has better leaping ability. I'm guessing Roberson, since he did it last year.

Roberson too much

Lydon too much center (related to too much Roberson at the 4)

I can't figure out the backcourt but as others have said, Howard is the likely candidate to be either too much or two little depending on how much his shot/defense has improved since last year.

The lineup (*before seeing many of them play*) that I think I will be in most favor of will be the following.

G: Gillon
G: Battle
: White
: Lydon
C: DC/Pikachu

JB's style has always been to think solely about the W in front of him and ignore future player development or chance of injury. that ain't gonna change .

More time: Tyler Roberson

Less time: John Gillon

DC will probably be the most polarizing should-play-more/less player.

If he's playing OK he will get minutes; but some people will yell for more PC or TL at center instead because of defensive and offensive advantages they offer.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I think DC will be our most effective low post scorer - he should get more touches as we spread the floor with shooters and drivers.

We should be as defensively intense as Louisville is each year. We will be trotting out subs hockey/lacrosse style this year with fresh line up changes every 5 minutes.

This is the style of play the goon Georgetown teams used to hang with the talented Syracuse teams of the 80s.
