38-0 vs a bama team thats one dimensional with an average qb. Cook has been overrated for 2 years m yes , OSU made for a better final 4 opponent. That said way to go Clemson! :)

Watching Cook move was like watching a guy with 2 broken legs play qb. Those receivers didn't help him at all and that Bama front 4 was the whole key to this game. Curious to see how they will react to a mobile qb like Watson.

Clemson winning handily over OU yesterday surprised me somewhat. The Bama D, however, should take care of Watson better than OU did, so it will be an interesting game. I see Bama winning unfortunately as I will go going for Clemson.

It kind of reminds me of how SU does vs a QB that can't move and one that is mobile. Bama's D front is light years ahead but their corners depend on that pressure and if Watson moves well he could hit wr's all over the place. It's an interesting matchup and that said Oklahoma would have given Bama some problems...a heck of a lot more than the slow plodding Spartans offense.

I wouldnt say its unfortunate until it happens.

michigan state was terrible. that's the big 10's best? what a joke that over rated conference is.

Urban I'm coming Elizabeth until ESPN and then OSU calls Meyer blew that MSU game with poor play calling. It was overrated much like that joke year when OSU and Michigan were #1 and #2 and everyone wanted a rematch.

Yesterday's blowouts were a prime example, in my opinion, of how a 4 team playoff is hogwash...that's the real joke.

Be interesting to see how Ohio State does today against Notre Dame. I think they had the most talent in the Big 10 but never could really get it together this year. As far as Notre Dame, I'm reading that DT Jarron Jones will probably play in the game after not playing all year. I'm probably missing something but why blow a whole year for the bowl game?

Last year proved different though. This year there is no doubt who the best two teams are.

Agree. I'm interested to see how Stanford, Notre Dame and Ohio State look today but it's hard to argue that Clemson and Alabama aren't a step above everyone else imho.

Any one of those teams would have a viable chance to beat the remaining two if there was a legitimate playoff. It is a true shame that the end of such a great sport is not as climatic as it could be...just my humble opinion.

And the beauty part is that Clemson and Bama proved it on the field in a playoff. No $hill talk.

MSU lost to Nebraska, almost lost to Indiana and Purdue at home, basically lost and got a win by a 1-in-a-million fluke against Michigan, and were fortunate to have Ohio State roll out a debacle of a game plan expecting to win in a roll and prepare for their Michigan game. This MSU team should have had 2 losses but was more likely an 8-4 team that got the right breaks.

That's what you get when you roll out an 8-4 team with good breaks against Alabama. No one should be surprised.

Let's see how they do today before claiming the entire conference should be embarrassed.

Agree- be an interesting day to see how Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan and Northwestern do.

I'm not sure I understand how a couple blowouts means that the entire system is bad.

It doesn't. It's compounded by other factors, including the number of days in between when each team has played its last game. A legitimate playoff would alleviate this and more likely have the best teams playing the best and at their best when it matters most.

How many teams would you like to see? I'm personally a fan of eight -- I think anymore than that would water down the sacred college football regular season.
