The Boneyard is really excited about dominating Holy Cross.

alexd, I like your posts but if you don't think Dion has been playing just great and fab has moved to another level, you haven't been watching us at all this year. I think UConn will have a really good year. Terrific team. But to knock dion and fab shows a lack of knowledge about Syracuse.

Melo? Fab Melo?? Sorta like he was a surefire BE rookie of the year last season??

Waiters has good size for a 2G. But needs to shoot a little better than 32% from 3 don't you think?

You clearly haven't watched much Cuse this year. Melo is vastly improved, and will play in the NBA.

Ok, ok...I should've used the blinky emoticon...Yes...Cuse looks very good. As far as Melo goes. I'm just saying a guy who came into college with so much natural talent and looked pretty much lost for an entire season, well, it's hard for me to see him as a "surefire" NBA player. But yes, he looks vastly improved this year. I can't wait to see him and Andre going at it. It's great to see our teams actually play twice in a season again.

Yes... because improvement never happens, & "surefire" NBA player is not guaranteed!

The best future pro on this team isn't even playing, MCW. Not to mention Christmas.

The three starters Joseph, Scoop, Triche probably have the least upside on the team. All the others have huge upsides especially the bigs. Fab, Keita, Christmas all have great athletic ability they just need someone like DC to get them in the summer and show them post moves. Get Owens in to work with Southerland and CJ and you have plenty of guards as coaches to help Dion and MCW. I forgot about Cooney. It will be a lot of fun to see how good these kids become, don't forget Danny was a backup for three years and make a good living in the NBA. Fab and Keita neither have been playing for very long, we're lucky to have them.

poor example.. this asshat has no business in the NBA

Point is he started playing late in life, was a stumbling idiot his first coupla years, & became a very good college player.
Fab Melo can make the same kind of strides in college. What happens in the league is obviously another story.

fab melo will be vastly superior in every facet than hasheem thabeet... the great Tanzanian stiff

The high post should not be a soft spot in our zone. Andy and Brandon were able to shut that down by denying and passing the man off to Wes or who ever was playing the weak side 3. Scoop and Dion, not so much.

On the other hand Fab and BMK are alot quicker on their feet than Rick and AO were, so they get out to that shot sooner. I remember Fab blocking/altering that shot at least 4 times vs. NC State.

HEy they won the NC last year. They can be excited about whatever they want.

I think our guards are doing a good job defending the high post this year, which is a pleasant surprise given their struggles up top last season.

And I'd like to hear Nasir Robinson's opinion on how the 2010 guards played the high post - seems to me they didn't "shut it down" as well as some would like to remember.
