Why would he leave Arizona and all their resources?Possible they pay up to bring Tommy Lloyd back home.

Then they should wake up and realize that they’re going to continue to lose money with declining attendance until they make a change. They DO care about making money; they don't care about winning or the fans
Depressing on all fronts. He stays if:
- Cuse ends the season on a strong run and gets in the tourney
- Freeman gets hurt again and a case is made injuries did him im
- There isn’t a Chancellor in place/the AD isn’t given the authority from above to make a change
- Melo says keep him another year
There are no coaches with systems that are plug and play.
See I disagree here. Where don’t we have talent. D has improved but our offense is not good and no movement at all. Dumb threes when we should be working inside out. Coach asks the players for level 5. I am not from that type of coaching. U demand it from them and if they don’t give it they sit no matter who it is. I feel Red is way too nice. Need a hard as like pearl or UConn coach type.As a longtime season ticket holder, the only case I could make for Red is SU does not have a very talented team this year. I remember times when we would beat top 25 opponents every week or two. The Cuse has only beaten one team ranked in the top 110 of the NET this season. It's really hard to believe that we only have one win against a good team on January 18. Making the point that fans are overrating the team's talent does not excuse the poor coaching decisions I have seen. Go Cuse!
NOT NEVER is making me twitch. My desire to correct grammar and spelling is highly triggered right now.
Me too.My desire to correct grammar and spelling is highly triggered right now.
This feel like an appropriate thread to post this in. Childress makes a case for Autry based on SU's resources that I can a least partly agree with, even though there's a lot should be controllable with good coaching.
There is zero reason to bring Autry back. Zero.
First things first. In today's game he doesn't have to wait for a recruiting class or two to be ready to contribute. He can pick a roster, if we are willing to pay, from a plethora of available players.
Second, and most importantly, last season was our worst since the 1960's. Jim Boeheim was half asleep his last couple of years and starting his All Family Reunion team and didn't have a year that bad. Autry is 46-38 (0.547) here all time. It's possible, even likely, he finishes his tenure here at 50-46 (.520). Boeheim won 51 games his last three seasons combined.
Third, does anyone get better here? Honestly? It seems like the majority of players who walk through the door were better before they got here or the ones that leave, find more success elsewhere.
Retaining Autry or even pushing the idea it's being considered is a colossal mistake. It was after last year and it will be exponentially worse at the end of this season.
I hate it when I am close minded but there is no reason to keep him. I won't even listen to Childress. We have seen enough. And we gave him a chance this year. We got him a team with enough talent to compete. We lost to Hofstra and B.C.

There is a slim one. Red needs 3 wins against Virginia, UNCx2 and Duke. There isn’t one, hope this helps!
Good one. I needed that laugh tonightThere is a slim one. Red needs 3 wins against Virginia, UNCx2 and Duke.
You didn’t miss much not listening. I don’t know if Childress gets prepped beforehand or just wings these kind of interviews, but while he sounded convincing, it’s very easy to poke holes in a lot of his logic.I hate it when I am close minded but there is no reason to keep him. SU is far more athletic and has more talent than last year, but their performances are too mistake ridden and feature too many poor player decisions to go overboard about our team's talent. They just aren't as talented as I was hoping at the beginning of the season. Miami totally dominated SU inside on Saturday.See I disagree here. Where don’t we have talent.
