All the Crown schools are banned from the NIT (ESPN) because their conferences have deals with FOX/NBC

No wonder the NIT looked even worse than usual this year when I was looking at it. The fact that Wake was a #1 seed in the NIT seemed odd to me. But now it makes sense if B10, BE and B12 can't participate.

I did find it confusing though that Oklahoma St is the one B12 school in the NIT. Not sure how they were able to play.

The Google machine says the big 12 schools (and the other 2) still may have gotten invites but some declined before getting invited?

6 big ten schools including Penn st said no.

Big 12 is with ESPN so they should be fine if that's the hangup.
