The Dome watercooler tonight

No, Brian Shotenheimer. Martz would be great, I just think his mind is warped enough to work in college, but Doug would hate it. I also heard that one of the hires has east coast routes but is in the Pac 12 right now and he was on the offensive side of the ball, who knows?
Martz announced his retirement yesterday. So you can cross that one out.

From your lips to God's ear Bees.

I would be feeling a whole lot better if we could get a big time OC in here.

Martz would be a terrible hire unless we have an 0-line that can block 5-7 step drops.

hal mumme

brings with him an incredible knowledge of both the air raid and paying players

Marrone would make him get a haircut. Could be a dealbreaker.

I don' think anyone is all that serious here.. settle down. Jeeze..

I think it was asked earlier, but what is the timetable?

Was this at the same watercooler where it was reported that Fab Melo wouldn't be starting?

;)

Your joking, right? It was just a simple comment there is nothing to settle down from.

Don't know. That had nothing to do with me. I can say, the scoreboard had Keita starting for awhile even though Melo was warming up, so people in the Dome were confused for awhile wondering what was up. Only thing I heard about eligibility was a couple of people said a couple players were on academic probation but eligible to play. Don't know if that is true or what it even means.

If you get below a 2.0 for a semester you go on academic probation...

Before the Providence game the in Dome TVs had Baye and CJ starting.

You'd think there may be similar, or stricter, rules related to courses in your major of study.

JD Brookhart?

We should hear soon about new coaches. While I hold out hope for one in particular, we'll know soon. But there may also be a bombshell hire which would mean, if it happens, we may be opening the bank.

They have a watercooler in the Dome?

That said, I think this ties into your Rugers news and may indicate that Shady will get the highly coveted job of handing out towels in the Syracuse locker room. I'm not sure that it's a bombshell, in that he's not likely to be able to do it well. In addition, he'd probably try to build a wall around any towels manufactured in NJ.

I don't care about the program spending $ if the value is there and apparent now. Now meaning this coming season on the field and in recruiting. The $ will come back quickly if Doug can recover the winning ways of 2010.Five losses in a ro must stop in september's games . Like the first one . The vultures are already circling.couchburn

My (educated) guesses:

Brian Polian - http://tinyurl.com/3mwwynq

Mike Bloomgren - http://tinyurl.com/7835lbt

Rip Scherer - http://tinyurl.com/7r7h7jw

Steve Marshall - http://tinyurl.com/6pvw9hs

I know someone already mentioned Pep Hamilton which would be a great hire. I just don't think he would leave Stanford for a lateral move at Syracuse. Of these four with the aforementioned eastern ties, Polian would be the best hire considering he was also recruiting coordinator at UCF, ND, and now Stanford. I do not believe Adkins is cutting it as our RC.

I was only thinking Pep Hamilton due to him being with the Jets at the same time as Marrone. Although it would be a lateral move, Stanford's offense has nowhere to go but down with Luck gone. Maybe we could end up paying him more money and he could look like a genius by improving our offense. Thereby he'd have proven himself at two schools and could move up to a head coaching job.
