My dad always said that it is better to be lucky than to be good. I say it's even better to be both.
Yeah, that's one of the boards I was referring to in another thread. Ha.
They can suck it. One of us is 24-0 and won 91-89, and it sure as hell wasn't Duke.
I think it was Gary Player, the golfer, who famously said that he was the luckiest golfer on the tour. And interestingly, the more he practiced the luckier he got.
Exactly. It's amazing how frequently "luck" consists of putting yourself in position to make plays, and actually making them. There's certainly no skill or talent involved to be in that position in the first place, after all.I think it was Gary Player, the golfer, who famously said that he was the luckiest golfer on the tour. And interestingly, the more he practiced the luckier he got.
How would that help us win?Apparently think we have a horseshoe shoved up our arse.

One of my favorite lines re this is..."Luck is simply preparation meeting opportunity". We are one well prepared team! Simply amazing, can't wait to (again) soak in the atmosphere in dome this weekend.I think it was Gary Player, the golfer, who famously said that he was the luckiest golfer on the tour.
