You know, the teams that are a huge upgrade over the departing Pitt and Syracuse went a whopping 1-6 this weekend. The lone win went to UCF, which is banned from post-season this year and will enter the big east on 4 years probation.

Among the highly regarded teams this Savior Squadron managed to rip defeat from the jaws of victory were the juggernaut programs of Texas (state) and Tennessee (Martin).

Only Boise state managed to stay within one score of its opponent.

We are leaving a dumpster fire.

Yeah and the new commish is somehow going to make the teams that left regret leaving.

Correction, UCF is appealing the NCAA decision, meaning any upheld post-season ban would go into effect next year- it's first year in the big east.

Fitting.

The Beef O'Brady's Bowl must be disappointed.

BE Worst nightmare, SU beating Lville in the dome and having one conference loss going into the Temple game.

Dumpster fire perhaps, but word is (according to NNBE fans) that the new TV contract is going to pay each all-sports team $18 million apiece. That's only $2 million less than the B12. Doesn't say much for DeLoss Dodds' (and his boy Ollie's) negotiating talents does it? Or maybe it says something else?

Hahahahahaha...$18 million...So they're saying that NBC will pay $18 for the privilege of broadcasting a midweek USF vs. SMU basketball game? More than ESPN is paying for Duke vs. UNC hoops or FSU vs. VTech football? No. Just no. Never. Ever. Ever. Not even in this ridiculous era of overpaying for live sports content. Hahahahahaha.

Houston's OC quit after the loss.

I think the B12 guys saying 25M for whatever are closer than the BE people saying 18M. Unless someone has pics of some NBC execs.

Even if they had pics of some execs, they wouldn't get that. With all the people being let go, they'd just fire the execs.
