The Future of College Sports

Not the future, but the past. Interesting. We haven't won all 3, but we're one of 16 schools that have won two.

I’m glad we’re in with the 10 schools who have won a Natty in Football & hoops.

Hopefully Coach FLJ can get the support she needs to help Cuse women’s have a shot at another FF and a Natty.
But that seems like a very longshot at this point, since there seem to be just a small handful of “haves” in women’s hoops, and we’re not one of them.

Replace women’s basketball with men’s Cross Country. Problem solved.

I mean, at this point, why not? Just burn it down and get it over with.

Let's just use the European football model and have the big state schools who are the most serious about sports set up youth feeder programs, get the kids under contract at 13 and go from there. Full on free agent market, no restrictions and no pretense of schooling.

The whole higher education system is subject to market issues. The schools with the largest endowments tend to get the better students because they have best know professors, top flight programs, great infrastructures, and top financial aide programs. Why should the sports be different?
The schools with the largest endowments are in the Ivy League (except perhaps Stanford) The Ivy League gave up big time athletics 70 years ago.

Any new 5 for 5 rule probably won't apply to this year's senior class, but it might. Possibly after a law suit. This tweet is regarding the basketball portal.
